I removed the alternator on my '08 Dodge 6.7 Cummins and thanks to GJ suggestions these tools made the job easier. Isn't that what tools are for. A long 1/2" flex ratchet for the tensioner. a hose pick for the air hose(the air box gets removed) and a 1/2" dr 6 pt 15mm after the 12pt 3/8" dr slipped. Until reading GJ , I never thought much about 6pt sockets. THX

Easier is a relative term but surely the point is to have enough to be able to do the work in a timely fashion. Using the largest size practical, makes all that stuff so much easier than trying to wring the guts out of smaller tools.
