I've been planning to install a unit heater in my garage for a couple of years now. I've read all of the threads here and learned a LOT. Most of what I have learnt has been through reading threads here and articles linked from here.
I finally bought a heater and will be installing this fall. Yesterday, in preperation for the install I called my local gas inspector with some questions.
Apparently I asked good questions and used proper terminology because the inspector was convinced I was a ticketed gas fitter! It wasn't until we arrived at confusion over the type of permit I would be pulling (I told him I was going to pull a homeowner permit and he told me I couldn't do that) that he realized I wasn't a professional.
Talk about an ego boost! But like every successful student, you must ultimately credit your teacher. Thanks Guys!
