Thanksgiving lunch in the garage

One of the girls in the office had an idea of having thanksgiving together at lunch time. so the guys and i came up with a cardboard box oven and cooked a turkey in the garage. here are some pics of the oven and the turkey going in :)

Pretty slick! One or two pics are upside down and sideways but really cool nonetheless. Did you actually cook in that thing or heat up in it?

cooked it right in there. went in at 8 and it was ready by 12 sorry for the upside down pics ill try to fix it

Do I see charcoal in a pan??
What did you line the box with ? looks to be more than tinfoil

Pretty cleaver


yea charcoal for the heat. lined the inside with aluminum foil then cover the seems with aluminum foil tape from home depot 5/8 all thread for the rack

Great. Now I can tell the wife she doesn't really need that fancy stainless steel Thermador convection double oven setup she insisted on upgrading to in the new house.
