That ONE Walden wrench

What is the story on that one Walden 1460 wrench that seems to be everywhere?

I run into Walden infrequently. In my neck of the woods, that means slightly more than Herbrand and Indestro and a bit less than Barcalo and Vlchek.

I have over the years picked up a handful of sockets, a 3/8 breaker bar, and 22 of these DBE wrenches. They are everywhere. You fellas have to find them all the time too. I've never seen another Walden DBE in the wild. I've never seen another full polish Walden anything. Alloy Artifacts shows nothing in full polish. But I've accumulated 22 of these so far, in all corners of my collecting travels.
Walden Worchester 1460 19/32 X 11/16 DBE.

So.....why? what? what do you do with yours? do you leave them at the swap meet or yard sale because you already have dozens of them?
I have only one theory, and it involves this wrench being in the factory supplied kit of early Fords. Can anybody confirm/deny that??

same reason there's a gazillion of those on Ebay in Indestro, Duro-Chrome, Thorsen, and any other US-made-no-longer-in-business tool maker.

so how many 19/32" and 25/32" 1/2" drive 12-point sockets do you own?

This wrench looks like someone polished this out in the wild.you can see in between the numbers and letters where its not polished .Also the letters are polished down if you look close

This is the answer to "What happens to lost socks in the dryer?".
It's the cycle of life. The sock goes to the dryer to die, and is reborn as an odd sized Walden wrench that's eventually trapped in the wild. It hangs around the shop until one day it goes missing, and eventually shows up in you're local Walmart as one half of a new pair of socks. Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

Those sizes were very common on all cars for three decades.

I find many No. 27 DOE wrenches too. Every old brand possible had them.
