I know this is a bit of a thread revival, but this company did just get interviewed on the Fine Home Building podcast and I thought it was a good listen.

1620 Workwear Interview

Also this was the thread that pushed me over the edge into buying a pair. I wanted to know if a $150 pair of pants is worth it. In my opinion they are. I have tried both the single and double knee utility pant and the shorts. I have had one pair over 2 years and they are still in the weekly rotation. I have welded in them, poured concrete, and worked construction in them I could not ask for a better pant. Also they are comfortable, which is not a term I associate with workwear. To me they are another tool to help get the job done.

I have some clothes from Red Cap. They are the stretchy material and very comfortable. Good fit also.
RedKap PT20 pants in charcoal gray are my go to pant. I get them for around $20 a pair at automotiveworkwear.com

I don't think all the pants I own total up to 200 dollars.
Same.

My normal work wear are 5 or 6 pairs of Wranglers that cost about $25 a pair.
Had to trash 1 pair recently, knee ripped. They are going on 4 years now of daily use.

IMO, those pants are intended for the guy who doesn't do anything substantial in his garage. Nylon is a TERRIBLE marterial for work pants. Good for outer wear, though. Probably targeting the guy with the $30k store/catalog bought "custom" Harley he "built", the guy who puts on designer copies of a Carhartt jacket and Timberland work boots to jump in his brand new dealer maintained Merc G63 SUV that has never seen dirt or snow to go to the local hardware store to buy a light bulb. :lol_hitti

Nylon isn't allowed if welding or torch cutting in many places.
Not sure if it's an OSHA reg?

I know my Dad couldn't wear the dark blue Dickies at the mill. Considered a hazard because of the polyester.

Had to wear denim (cotton) or FR rated.

I don't know if I'd care for the material.

But offering a hem-to-fit pant in larger sizes is a luxury seldom found these days. Worth a try.

I dont think i can get my suit alterations for $150.

Split crowd, tough thread. Some want $20 pants they toss after 4 months, some want $150 pants that last 4 years.

Gap jeans. Under $40 when on sale. I bought a few pairs and they've lasted for years. Can't stomach $100+ pants that'll inevitably get wrecked.
