Looks great! Are you going to put a gate at the end of the driveway at some point?

Nope. Not into gates. I am laid back when it comes to that type of thing and heck if my buddies want to stop over and BS over a Beer and a Pizza a gate is not going to stop them. They would just drive through the yard and then I'd have to fix that.

Holy cow. That much concrete over asphalt us something I have never seen before. Your local concrete plant surely thanks you I am sure ! Guessing the owner just funded his dream vacation! Looks great by the way.

Hitler and Rommel didn't use that much concrete when they built the Atlantic wall. Must say I am impressed with your drives and the destinations they lead to.

I went by there this morning about 10:30, and thought the road was all foggy. Nope, just a guy in an orange T-shirt sawing all the cut lines. Looked like a huge grey cloud hanging in the air.

40 x 64 built in 1975. A few years ago when we got all that Snow I had to go in there with the Bobcat and Backhoe and lift the trusses up and screw & glue plates to them.

The ol'timer I bought the place from had hundreds of pounds of lumber up in the joists for storage a long with 2 old Phillip's 66 Lights which weighed about 300 lbs each. Even after taking that stuff all out of there it almost collapsed. Pretty safe now.

I had Morton Buildings look it over to re-side it but they said it would need everything from the Posts up...by that he meant the only thing worth saving is the Posts. We dug down a foot or so by a number of them and they are in really good shape.

Plus the city gave me a little bit of grief about the building being in front of the house since we burned the old house down. The ordinance says an out building in front of the residence has to have the same exterior finish as the residence. I told them no problem from me but you are going to hear about it when my Wife finds out I am putting the Red Metal Siding on her new house. She will be pissed. Probably not the answer they were looking for but I was serious as a heart attack. Then I explain the rule does not apply since I was grandfathered in. Haven't heard a word since.

We will be pouring that floor next year. The Bats will like that and no more dirty shoes!!!

I was sawing until dark last night...I looked like Pigpen from Charlie Brown when I walked in the house. My Wife said stop right there and take off your close. What came to my mind was not exactly what she was thinking...she made that loud and clear...LOL...

Awesome man! Plenty of room for storage in there! I hope you saved them signs and have them hanging somewhere.

The finished product looks great! Are you going to fill in with gravel at the leading edge, I assume? Looking forward to more pics, along with a drone shot or two.:D

Kickass bud. My only grief while building mine was when the wife had to park in the very front at different points in time. Ain't nothing cooler then being able to hit 60mph and shut it down before you hit the street :)

That shed is for the 3 point attachments and misc lawn maint stuff. And for all my friends who think they can store stuff here...the only person allowed to put anything in the new shop is my BIL who has helped me with everything to whip this place into shape. Everyone else gets that shed with all the mice and bats.

We are going to replace the Culvert and then black top it. The right of way is 33 feet from the CL of the road. So if they do any road work they don't have to mess with my concrete. Hope to have that done before the snow flys.

My buddy who shot the footage is a little *******. His MIL passed away Tuesday at 1:30 am so it maybe a while before he gets to editing. I spoke with him tonight and all is good. Just not looking forward to the service. She was a great lady and their whole family are good people.

My Wife is keeping her Truck at her Mom's place. Her Mom is picking here up everyday. Me I just drive through the yard. That sh_t will grow back.

Wish I had one of my old Race Cars. It would be fun pulling a .96-.98 60 foot and dumping the laundry to stop. I guess pulling 1G in in the corners in the Z28 might have to do. But I hear you...

Man, that's awesome. I love the look of freshly poured concrete driveways. When I finally got mine done after years of gravel, I just sat in the garage and stared out at it, with a smile for an hour. But maybe that was because my back was too stiff to get up out of the chair! Same thing every time I do a new sidewalk around the house or garage. Love concrete!

No more gravel dragged into the garage, and no more dust all over everything all the time.

Can't wait to see the drone footage!

You know what?, I think that would be enough concrete to upgrade your local airstrip to an international airport.
I am so envious, I was planning for our place, on a couple of sections on the grades then recycled bitumen for the rest.
Well done.

Ok your in MN you forgot to install the snow melt in the driveway.

I can bring the Mustang over, I've been trying to work on launching it. You'd have to settle for some 1.70s though.

With a little work and a third pedal I bet we can get it to go 1.0xx...nothing like rowing the gears!!! Your job becomes simple: "See the light, move the (insert F'in-word here) arm" Roy Hill to me Houston PS Super Bowl 2005.

Beautiful!
On thing I've been wondering...with that much water so near your place, do you have much of a mosquito problem in the summer?

Not really a problem. We have lots of Bats living in the Red Shed. They are great neighbors but I don't want them as roommates!!!
