Yep, taken the place apart but it wasn't for painting purposes. It was for more important things like fitting more cabinets when had the WOC or something else.

I agree while I've had most of my stuff on casters but never had it like this before. I even thought of putting water heater on casters. It has SS flex lines on it.

No, mine is just moving at glacier speed, I'll be happy to just get everything in place some day, much less take it apart

I agree about the ease of rolling, started years ago putting everything on casters.but in Gs garage, if you look closley, there's direction arrows , merge lanes and tons of skid marks.

Took a few days off from the garage and spend some time with the wife. We did some flea marketing on Saturday. I got another Garland hammer for $5.00.





Its a Garland #4 solid head Rawhide hammer and its heavy SOB. Its supposed to be 4lb hammer and here's it compared to my Garland #1.



After hitting few more places come home and at least got my lawn mowed. This morning got up took totes off wall and preceded to mow my inlaws. After that had visit from LX460 and his wife. After that finished all trimming,edging and weed whacking at inlaws. Came back down to my house and did all my trimming, edging and weed whacking at my house.

By this time I'm beat and I know I shouldn't work but wanted to get shelf at least drilled for anchors. This is where working alone *****. The shelf is one piece and about 15ft long. Getting shelf unattached and down was funny. Well it almost ended up on the floor few times. Good thing I'm wearing my Florida OSHA approved safety shoes. LOL. Getting it back up was fun too.



Unlucky there was no trips to the ER and no stitches involved. I decided to not tear everything out and go with lead anchors and 3 in lag bolts.






I leveled the shelf and drilled though the middle span between furring strips.



7 spans 7 lead anchors and one extra that will help when bridge shelf goes over door.





Ran mason line from end to end and its level and no dips in center.









After all said and done its best it's going to get. Tomorrow I'll finish up odds and ends and get this wall all back together.

I saw the same thing and laughed. I cringe every time I see Bob Heine's "Florida safety shoes" Guess working in construction and seeming to drop something on my foot nearly every time I don't have the steel toes on does it for me. Maybe my toes have gotten weak over the years....

I dropped a piece of plywood on my bare foot one day. It was only a half sheet of 3/8-inch ply and it hit my foot where the tongue of a steel toed shoe would have been. Swelled up like a balloon so my wife sent me to the ER wearing slippers. Three hours and a Porsche payment later (by Medicare & Supplemental) I was on my way home (in the Corvette). Just a bad bruise but it looked a lot like a break. My wife (who is always nagging me about footwear) was very sympathetic, offering to drive me home if the foot had to be amputated.

I usually have something on my feet. I tell the wife never walk in the garage without something on your feet because if in middle of working you never know what's on the floor. Its Florida so shorts and flip flops or sneakers. Its just to damn hot sometimes.

bhahahahahahahaha that's funny as hell. I've been pretty lucky as far as injuries. Many many close calls. Only had one ER visit which involved 5 Stitches. LOL

I am from KY and that is just plain uppity. Seriously though I used to be able to do that. Had back door and front door flip flops or sandals. Have to wear damned orthotics now if I want to walk the next day so I usually have to wear something a little more substantial even inside the house.

I'll admit I'm getting older and looked into those. I always wore heavy steel toe boots to work just because at my job sneakers just don't last. 20 years of jumping in and out of a truck all day have definitely taking it's toll on my feet and ankles. On the other hand the boots have saved me from twisting and breaking my ankle several times. In pass months I switched to lightweight running shoes and what a difference. Only issue is wet grass will get your socks wet and dirt seems to find its way it much easier. One day we where to have storms all day so wore my water proof boots and felt clumsier than hell. LOL.
