It's been almost two months since we have been there, so garage gods only knows what's happening.

I think we may of pushed G's wife over the edge last time we was there. We unloaded the 56" Lista that Shorty picked up for me and rolled it into the garage and left to go to Hooters. When we got back, the doors didn't even slam on the truck whe we heard " what is this #%^*€?£+{ box in the garage?" She then asked me if I was taking it. No, I said, I couldn't take G's brand new to him tool box...............

The glued casters is a real possibility, for all we know Gerard May of been glued to his chair and only allowed to watch TV.:lol_hitti:lol_hitti:lol_hitti

Well spent a lot of time in chair lately that is true.

G has been spending money on a travel trailer. That's gonna be his toy for a while. And of course it doesn't fit in the garage.

So it’s official I’ve upgraded from a tent to a travel trailer. Wife and I been looking for awhile to get small little travel trailer just her me and her to travel. It’s a Jayco Jay feather sport 165. It’s in good condition. All systems work. I picked it up for $3000.

That looks really nice condition. For 3k you can normally expect some things will need attention so it's nice to be able to "plug and play" so to speak.

Very nice! We’ve been looking at Jayco Travel trailers as well. They are a great brand. You got a good deal! Look forward to seeing some posts with your project updates!

Nice looking trailer and will be a huge upgrade from tenting. And a good price too!. It does look road ready, enjoy your first trip.
And, hey, sitting around a little is ok too. I have those streaks of time where I'm just lazy and then after a rest get motivated again.
Maybe that trailer needs a good tool box mounted somewhere though!:lol_hitti

Nice trailer, good score if you ever decide to camp at Wekiva Springs the camp ground is a stones throw from my place. Of course they stay booked up there so there is a waiting list

It in good shape but just last night I found some soft spots in the floor. It had a leak from the WH tank or water supply which seem to rotten the floors. It’s only bad under the bed( where tank is), shower and in front under the cabinets. The main walking area is fine.

My first trip will be March 15 to 18 in Ginnie Springs. We tent camp there every year with huge group of people. I will just dry camp it that trip and after that next trip not until June. That should give me enough time to pull everything out and redo all the floors. I could just patch it but if gonna do it right I’m going to replace all of it and then I know it good.

In time before then find the leak in water supply, check out brakes and axles and wiring my truck with brake controller and 7 pin wiring to the hitch. While trailer being done I’ll cut out the 1 1/4 hitch and weld in 2in hitch. This is fords better ideas.

9e06795357352ee82a3d8e4f6db00171.jpg

The hitch is welded in crossmember of the vehicle and came this way from factory. If ordered the tow package it came with 2” receiver and 7 pin wiring done. Unfortunately, when father bought the truck he didn’t upgrade to tow package so instead of 5000lbs tow rating I’m stuck at 3500lbs tow rating. I’ve checked into it and can’t find much other than trans cooler, wiring, and hitch size difference between the tow and non tow package. Springs, rear axle ratio but not sure about if came with limited slip or not. This trailer dry weight is 2690 and max out at 3500 so it’s in range and capacity of my truck. It’s perfect size for my and the wife and small enough to take about anywhere we want.

Well, the FC crew and I had another great year and the Florida Flywheelers show.

It’s always fun to search the swap meet for new stuff to add to the collection. Here’s some on the new finds from this years show.

And probably one of greatest finds was this.

5be80cd56d0c114e816f0c528d421bdf.jpg

All in all spent about $55 on my new finds but kinda priceless the time just chilling in the campgrounds with my buddies. Usually we meet up spend few hours and everyone has to run home but it was nice for once having no limits on time.

On another side note I picked you the final Plano tote and now I’m totaling 28 of the big ones and 4 of the smaller ones.

I have to figure out now how and what going to put in these. I’m thinking I can fit 8 of the yellow ones per drawer.

And got 28 of these.

Should give me 44 bins in cabinet thats whenever I get off my lazy *** up and finally do something. I’m thinking once it’s actually light out when I get home from work I’ll get some of my motivation back.

I got to work on travel trailer today. When I bought it it said the water heater tank was leaking. We removed the unit but couldn’t get the front cover off. We broke most of it down at my dads and it was getting late so brought it back to my house.

I can say I got the burner control out FINALLY. It only took Chain wrench and 4 ft cheater bar but i got it out. WTF!!!

2ec3bcb1e7ea67460188dc80ff798e3a.jpg

Well fitting on burner is steel and tank is aluminum and would think some Teflon tape or anti seize but nope.
f0407e00b23e92efd4c1084d0a236cd4.jpg

All the threads gauled up. Took most out.

ed9476fdfeda313315f3c67f9669515d.jpg

Well I finally got good look at where the leak is at. Tell me if you can spot it.

430ac0ece9c0b3189b7e7a134adca72c.jpg

Way it sits in the travel trailer.

1f78c5cd391ceff40435c294fa0104ac.jpg

Well between the sink and this I can now see why floors and rotten out. I’m thinking tank froze up and split or pressure relief valve didn’t work. In was in Ohio so thinking ice first. So it’s new floors now a new tank, all new water heater unit or maybe looking into electric/LP tankless unit. The joys of owning a travel trailer.

A little JB weld, a little duct tape over that, Bada Bing, Bada Boom, time for a road trip.

As you said, the joys of an RV. It will be worth the work when you get to enjoy your first trip.

.

That’s what I told him. I’m thinking it will work just fine.

G with the new tank, you’ll know what’s there and you get to use all the tools you have. “See honey I do need four 44’s full of tools.”

Well cleaned up the place enough to take some pictures but as always it work in progress. I decided a long time ago I was just going to make this place work and not really worry about the inlaws place. It’s in back of mind but decided every place I move to is going to need tweaking to the plan. Here’s the new wall I came up with.

c300cbbe341d6af64c703e000675714b.jpg

78c2e573707aba6539ec06a199032a63.jpg

I needed a place to put my machinist boxes so had 3 machinist and 3 44’s so I set it up like stations. I finally came up with better idea for the bench tops for the 44s. This area all get tweaked once bench tops are done. Basic layout is done. I did only have the one compressor on the left but needed a spot for my back up.

f3951c134de9a0b049a8d4d46efe28d8.jpg

Actually, I went with new idea here. A hanging shelf.

fcc9f9d0d02b6f365b85a031a66d6358.jpg

I have to big the other shelf to hold compressor but that heavy little ******* is off the floor.

One of the biggest issues I had was the HF bench. For years it changed and actually it’s the bench I used the most in garage. Almost seemed like I was always going across the garage to my mechanics box for tools. So I gave the old HF bench a redo. Here’s the old.

9d61cf0ebdd3badd7da9399914ffa4d1.jpg

I agree while this looks good there was a lot of stuff I needed to do better. I really wanted to make garage 2 areas, I needed to make bench more useful and since I didn’t have a desk or place to sit at bench. First I started off taking off the machinist chest. They are portable and can easy be moved on the Wall. I then built new shelf above just to hold my stereo and speakers.

f07ff98a5aa92139c2e3677249f126fe.jpg

Then I hung new tv on the wall finally using the tv mount that almost got tossed 16 times.

a694358c489479ae21218c68ab2e0e59.jpg

Finally I moved my mechanics box which hold the majority of tools I’m reaching for anyway and came up with this as finally idea.

28cfdad1a54a39fe4fb4357ce058a528.jpg

279a19558f4a5408fb575e9117520770.jpg

938719d7913781f04125392c49a52b54.jpg

The TV sticks out alittle farther than I thought so might be moved to here.

35c9e0a7ffcf922dc056a5ad3b1aa0a8.jpg

I figured also if get a service cart it would fit great right next to my mechanics box. Right now I have my Raskog carts here but it’s just good spot to put any cart I might make up or buy. LOL I have one in mind I’m just waiting for it to be made in red. LOL

7856f6ebeca0afa5d4555b87476cd097.jpg

And if haven’t noticed the fridge has been moved back to it old location.

f06de7d4af7d30978298efb6c714b563.jpg

It’s really messing with my OCD the new and improved HF bench just because I’m so used to having 2 here for so many years. I did say one day F@CK it I’m going to line up the 44’s and build a wall.

I like what you've done with the place. The wall of 44's look clean and easy to access. The new HF bench area looks good too and it will be nice to have a place to sit at the bench once in awhile. Overall it looks like you've spent a lot of time organizing well.

I'm thinking now the fridge is begging for a cool theme oriented paint job! It's feeling a little slighted with all the other good looking tool boxes in the room. Give the fridge some love!

If I'm guessing right I think I know what that implies.:D While an entertaining idea for sure ,I was thinking of something a little more tool box/garage theme oriented. Maybe a wrap that was a picture of a couple Craftsman tool box stacks in remembrance of the WOC.

I’ve always wanted to do something with fridge. I just never came upon good idea. I’m actually thinking the white is fitting and breaks up the 2 sides of garage. It will blend in more once paint the whole garage.
