I find it entertaining bidding a dollar on the auctions with 99 cent starting bids. I'm determined to win a Snap-on tool for 99 cents. :)

a 'real' .99 or .01 auction will have a fair shipping price listed. Many of the powersellers do this. I have won a few really lowballed auctions.

I got lucky on mine sorta....I was bidding on other items from the same seller so he combined shipping. So I guess you could say I got the extension for .99, sorta!

I always start my auctions for $0.99 or $.01, to get the bid count up and to build momentum and early interest. I never make a penny on shipping. If they overpay for the shipping, I refund the difference. If they under-pay, I eat the difference. Yum.

Well, I just got a Humboldt lab oven for $26 that was an auction starting at 99¢ - they sell for $1600 new...

I really wasn't expecting to win and put in a snipe for $35 for the heck of it. Only other bidder put in $25.

Going to use it for powdercoating.

I love to put in a list of low price snipes. It's like Christmas or a birthday when the you've won message pops up out of no where!

I won a SAE and metric Easco combo wrench lot that way a couple of years ago.

Not tools, but they'll need them...I just today recieved my turn signal assemblies for my 71 Blazer from eBay. Won then for a buck with $10 shipping. Got a full dash assembly for my 90 Mustang last year for $0.99 with 410 shipping too.

Yep throw out enough of them and you will win. I usually do real good on interior parts for cars and such.
