Great garage! Congratulations on making the cover page too. I love the fact that, as Ryan said, that it does the dual purpose so well.

I painted my previous garage floor in red with U-Coat-it (not sure it's the best product anymore... still it was good for me at the time). Unfortunately, I didn't know garage journal at the time so it's not that great but it will still give you an idea.

It kinda looks like the material used on the side of barns. You can get it in about any legnth and about 4 feet wide.
If that's the case, great idea!



You can get it in just about any color you want too.
The aluminum everywhere has got to spread light pretty good. I've been wanting to add color to my garage but even with my 3 8' 4 tube t8 fixtures near the back where I work, I still miss more light now and then. The aluminum would add "color" and still spread light well.

Looks like standard M channel corrugated metal. Used on roofs for houses, etc. I bought all of mine for my build as pull offs from a deconstructed chicken house. Great to work with.

The phone camera makes it look like it's crooked, but I assure you it is not!

Paint the fridge black and then buy a rat rod style pin stripe sticker off of ebay. They are cheap and look pretty cool if you get the right one. Make the fridge look bad a$$.

I would say on the floor to go with a epoxy floor coating, probably a white or grey to lighten it up a bit, then put some red and black flake in to tie it together, could be cool.

Love the gar...I mean, barage! The storage, the lights, the color, aluminum flashing, and corrugated steel. You pulled off a nice look!

For the floor, I personally like the floor as is, otherwise a coated grey to lighten things up a bit.

For the fridge, why not wrap it with the same aluminum you used around the garage?

Just my 2 cents.

Are those speakers in the corners and do they have horns in 'em? If so, watcha got?!?

If you do use epoxy paint do not use Ucoat it. I did it in two garages. Great with fluids and tires, but where I work, weld and grind it is already worn off. The other garage is for storage/assembly and has scratched pretty badly. Guess I have to live with as getting it off would be a nightmare. Great Barage! Lots of ideas.

Fantastic job...very inspirational...there are at least two garages that have given me ideas for what I want to do and this is one of them without a doubt!! I love the idea of doing my soffit storage doors in that aluminum sheeting covering MSB panels!! I was going to paint mine dark grey or black but not anymore!! And I love the way it looks on the garage doors...

I am not sure I can get it done for under a $100 though...can you tell me how you did or were you just talking about covering the garage doors for under or around $100?

I have a 3-car...so my calculations are 80 linear feet for the 2-car door and 40 linear feet for the one car door...

Menard's has a 24"x 50' ft roll for ~$75 so I am over $100 right off the bat unless my calculations are wrong...not to mention the 40 linear feet or so I will need to do my soffit doors.

Am I miscalculating?

Also, can you go into more detail on how you cut the sheets so they aren't all ragged on the cut edge and also how you rolled/applied to the soffit doors? That is such a nice look I really want to do it but don't want to screw it up and have it all dented or lumpy, etc.
