Finished the wiring on the 48 ( F4 ) Truck this week and late yesterday I put in a couple of batteries, turned the key braught it to life.

Just have the engine running at the moment as I have yet to put brake fluid in. Will be hard to tear it down for panel and paint now.

That is one sweet beast, I wish I was able to take on projects that big. I struggling to find time to do basic paint prep on mine.

6BT Cummins Turbo Diesel, Ford C6 Auto with US Gear over drive. Also has LPG ( Propane ) Injection. Chassis is 1977 Ford F350 and the sleeper cabin is Peterbuilt heavily modified ( read as Shrunk ).

Is the cummins stock other than the propane injection?

I will try to answer all questions in one go.
Progressing slowly and all stripped to be painted. Will post a pic and a few links off site.
Will be a Rolling advert for the business but not all done in house ( Garage LOL ).
Motor is stock but as yet have not had time to consider toying with it apart from the LPG. Will be a show rig and a driver.

Cab came out of the paint shop Saturday 23rd August.

I think that you are thinking of Wings as his truck tows a mobile radio studio. Cream with Flames and often has a red T bucket in the trailer come studio.

Well that belongs to Wings Kallahan and not the NSRA.

This is the truck as of this afternoon (25th August ) out of the paint shop and back on the chassis.

Only took two of us about an hour to fit the cab back using the hoist to lift and place the cab.

Thanks It is an Aussie Ford color from 1966 Called Green Velvet metalic with a little more metailic in the mix, Bonnet ( Hood ) will be the same color. Front Guards ( fenders ) will be Merino another 1966 Ford Color.

As for the Chev will perhaps Wings sold it I know it was his as I recall it at the Rod Nats in Lousiville when I spoke to him back in 1994.

Here is the Dash. Smiths Guages. LED Lights for indicators and Auto. US gear Overdrive switch to the right and above the dash the Turbo timer.
Steering Column is F-350 or the same as the Falcon here of the same era.

This is the underdash area. LPG ( Propane ) Computer as well as Cruise control, Auto shift controls, Heater Air Con etc.

March 16th and time again to update.

Running boards painted with a body deadener ( gives ripple finish effect ) and color. The black strips are body moulding so you do not step on a painted surface.

Front Guards. Still have to put the grille, headlights back.

But it is on the right ( hand ) side for an Aussie .
You Tube is full of many ideas. Just type in 6BT, 4BT or Cummins Rat Rod on a search in You Tube and you will be surprised.

Sleeper is no longer stock size. It's had the full custom work cut shut and chopped to the size to fit the F4 cab.

I think I know of the FTE site post a link here if you wish as I am sure others will be interested. I was on the Bonusbuilt forum until that was suspended.

WOW Those HAMB guys are true traditionalists. I doubt then this project of mine would be accepted if I posted it on the HAMB.

E-tek I did have them all posted in an online album but the site was closed and I lost access to them so sadly it is no longer accessable. I have well over 150 photos now as I needed to keep records for the engineer. Once he inspects it I may then do a DVD slide show to use when the truck is at shows. Although not really what your asking for.

Will mount these on the front in the next few days so as to match the back ones. Back brakes decided to leak so had to pull them apart and redo them all. All the rubbers are now going back into the cab as will the glass etc. Had to get new window mechanisms but now I have them all should come together quickly. Front park lights have been giving me a few hassles as I have the wrong surrounds. They look like 46 sedan and are not the same as the 48 truck.
