Got the front ALCOA's on today. Will update with some more photos later in the week. All the fiddly stuff now like making dash knobs etc. made one from a Sleeper cab rivet that will make a few people stop to work out what it is.

I gave up on the flames idea some time ago and will be getting some sign writing done soon along with some pinstriping as it will suit it better.

As for the Diesel / LPG I already know just how well it will work once we Dyno tune it. I got the system from Global Fuel Solutions http://gfsi.com.au/ if that helps you. But be warned some of the newer Diesels can not have LPG systems fitted. If you want more info PM me and I will send you some contact details.

Looks nice with the new front wheels. So have you actually taken it out on the road yet? I bet that engine and the LP help will be a torque monster.

Sorry to hear that you aren't doing the flames, but still looking great anyways!

I have decided to go with some more suitable (period looking) Pinstriping and to Sign write the doors. I will see what you think when it is done. The flames in the multi colors would be a lot of work. I am talking to my local Sign writer at the present as he works in with the paint shop I have used.

No, it has not been on the road yet. Still have to work out the Auto and perhaps fit a manual kit to that C6. Your not the only one to tell me that about it being a Torque Monster. In fact the 6BT is a big motor in what is a small truck. A 4BT would have been ok but then I am a Hot Rodder so the
6BT more power or in this case more Torque  :yikes: .

Good for you. Sorry but I am still stunned that you have such a good truck and what you intend to do with it. I can see great potential  considering what mine was like when I started.

I know the potential it has, but now I'm 17 with my income limited by how much wood I can cut. I would love to restore it or do anything like you have done with yours

Well may I then offer you some advice.

My 1st car was like your truck. I just needed a car to drive. I looked after it like it was the best car I would ever have. One day I could afford to do it up and I still have it today. It only comes out when I want a nice car to drive.

 If you do that one day you will have a vehicle that some one may just  to you.

Truck looks great. Can't say I get the antennas mounted on the bumper. I would think that they would be kind of annoying while driving. Here in the states, most big rigs mount their CB antennas on the mirrors. It would seem to make more sense....

Height was an issue to mount them on the mirrors as I would be forever taking them off to get into places or breaking them under trees etc :(. I did intend to mount them behind the sleeper but ran out of room after I mounted the mobile/cell phone. It is legal to mount them that way here as it is the opposite side to the driver. Most Road trains run the big UHF antennas on the front like that here so that was one reason for doing it.

Who wanted more photos ?

5th June. I had my first short drive today out of my workshop ready to go back to the paint shop to finish off a few things. Only First & Reverse in the Auto until I get the manual shift kit fitted.

Installed the DVD / Stereo system yesterday. Sorry no photos yet. System is hidden in the glove box with a 400 Watt Amp in the sleeper with four 350 Watt Speakers also located in the sleeper. The flat screen TV works well with the system.

But ya can't watch telly & drive :lol_hitti:lol_hitti:lol_hitti
