I havent been up to much lately. Last week I drove the 944 to work and on the way home, it ran a little hot for my liking. I am sure the 110 degree ambient temp was the cause, and it dropped when I cut the AC off, but I didnt like it. I have an aluminum radiator coming in this week. Since the M3 came back from paint, I swapped the 944 out for it Friday night.

I gave it a quick clean up and other than some sanding marks that I can polish out in a few weeks, I am very happy with the match.

There is a section on the passenger door that looks off under certain lighting, but I think it will hide once I give it a full detail and coat it. I drove it to work today and was running a little early so I had time to snap a beauty shot. I am kinda having a 2nd honeymoon with this thing.... I might need to buy some wheels for it.

Ugh, bummer, man. I'm so sorry for your loss, Nick. Never easy losing a pup but he was clearly loved and lived a great life.

Well how about a happier update. A few weeks ago, I was driving the 944 home and it got a little warm. It didn't overheat but close, so I figured it was time to replace the 30+ year old radiator(probably more like 43.) I wanted to do a 3 row but I did some research and it looks like I would have to change out the electric fans so I found a 2 row. Its Chinese and from ebay, but it gets good reviews, the one from a better known source was triple the price and probably made by the same people.

It fit, but with some modifications.

Ive driven it a few times, burped it, and topped it back off.... It seems to be okay. Fingers crossed.

Last night, I got started on the M3 detail. First was a good engine clean since there was some body shop dust under the hood...

Then a strip wash to remove any old wax, and a clay bar.

And an iron remover before drying. I have detailed cars for a long time, and I think this step can honestly be skipped unless you park in a train yard.... But it did find a little iron.

I did a couple of test spots and I think its going to clean up nice.... I started to tape off the trim and then remembered how easy the trim is to remove..... Its nakey.....

Ill work on it more tonight. I am trying to decide on coating vs wax since its not a daily.
