I was a little worried about my car catching this Corona business so I modified my intake.

Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr

But in all seriousness, I got a euro airbox for the wagon and put it in last night.

Of course I cleaned it and treated the whole box with Solution Finish, and coated it with Gyeon Trim.

You are so effected by the mod bug on that wagon. :)

That was the point of getting it, I wanted a daily that I could play around with. It's been fun.

Little extra noise is nice as long is not obnoxious. As cars become more modern we get the silly piped in electronic noise arg.

I have been a little spoiled by the M3, it makes a glorious intake noise. I still want a little more out of the wagon but I dont think I am going to pursue any more on the intake side. Exhaust may be next.

I hope everyone is feeling well with all the craziness going on. I spent the weekend "social distancing." Friday night I hung out with some friends at their house and by Saturday morning, I was so sick of the news and negativity that I needed an outlet. I took the 02 out to a small cars and coffee meet and on a long cruise.

Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr

The weather was so nice I actually had to kick on the A/C.

Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr

Saturday night, I went over to a friends house for a Cuban cigar and some very good bourbon. He had to cancel his bachelor party scheduled for next week and postpone his wedding in early May so we had a mini party.

Sunday I actually got some work done. I got up at 6 am, fired up the egg, and tossed on a ****. Cleaned the house a little, napped, and worked on the E9 wheels. Since all the racing in the world has been cancelled, I found a live stream of some Iracing on youtube.

Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr

Finished the wheels, and gave them a good cleaning. We will get them in paint soon, but I'm not in a huge rush.

Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr

Im not in a rush for a couple of reasons, the first being that the e9 probably wont be ready for the Vintage. The second reason is that the Vintage may not happen with the new CDC regs. They are recommending no gatherings of more than 50 people for the next 8 weeks, and the vintage is 9 weeks away. I am guessing that like the airshow I had coming up, it will get cancelled or moved. It ***** but with most of the attendees being vintage themselves it makes sense. I spent the rest of the weekend on the deck, drinking beer, and waiting for my **** to finish smoking.

Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr

Stay safe everyone, things are going to be a little weird for the next couple of months.

That 02 looks so damn clean!!

Gotta do what you gotta do. Temps are still pretty erratic here up north, so we try and get outdoor time when we can. For example, today is in the low 40s, but Friday will be near 70 (albeit, with rain).

Feel free to ship some of that pulled pork I think I read about you making on IG to Mass. I am a HUGE BBQ fan!

:spit: Oh man, that's a bummer. But just call it brisket and slice it up!

Haha it came out amazing. I let it cook super low and slow since I didnt need it by a certain time. I started it at 7am and finally pulled it off the egg at 9pm. I had a couple "test pieces" while pulling it. I cant wait for dinner tonight.

I am really looking for silver linings in all of this Covid stuff. Pretty much everything between now and June has been cancelled or postponed. No car shows, Le Mans moved to Sept, and the Mitty and The Vintage are likely going to be moved or cancelled. That being said, with everyone working from home I can stop on fairly busy roads for photoshoots.

It is what it is and I have a lot of garage activities planned for the weekend. Nothing really to do but stay home and get some stuff done.

Yeah it really is crazy and such a bummer what is currently going on. But we've got to make the most of it, all while socially distancing ourselves and being safe.

Hoping to get a few more things done on my M3 myself and the garage cleaned up over the next few days as my wife and I work from home.

Those photos came out really great. Nice work!

Nice fog shots. I might be picking up one very much like yours. 11 M-sport

Been searching for a new car for awhile and it fits all needs, I did want a manual gear box but they are next to impossible to find.

Nice! A manual rwd msport is a unicorn. Xdrive manual msports are slightly less unicorny but still rare. Haha.

I needed something I like that was more reliable vs my older 332Ti is suffering from cancer, and finding another clean chassis has become impossible unless I travel south or out to California.

Drove a buddies last year at our lemons race and liked it but it was wrecked before I could buy it from him. I would have preferred a 335i D touring but we never got them here.

Yeah our engine choices for e91's sucked. Do the stage 3 intake for sure if you get one, it helps a lot.

Yeah been watching yours intently and I know I don't need a third M3 so I will not be getting an E46 which I love one.

Back looking, they took a deposit on it today. I had check for it was just waiting for down day to drive out to it this weekend.

I actually installed a bypass harness to kill the fake engine sounds in my M2, stereo is better and it's much quieter. Of course I then installed a fabspeed muffler bypass

Wow gorgeous find on the wagon! I'll need to post up a pic of mine soon. Nice to see fellow BMW Tourings on this site.

Kind of a long weekend. Spent a lot of time sitting around the house. I did get a new filter for my euro airbox, it looks like it needed one.

Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr

I also picked up one of the seats from the E9 to clean and dye some of the bad spots. I figured since I was bored and stuck at home, I would do a video and upload the process...... but it wasnt meant to be. My cheap *** tripod broke and my camera fell directly onto the concrete.

Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr

I was honestly pretty heart broken. It put a small crack in the camera body and the cover over the digital display one top popped off, but it still works as far as I can tell. The lens was trashed. I have another one on order but it was an expensive mistake.

Sunday, I didn't want to deal with anything and I wanted out of the house. Since gas is cheap, I picked up the wagoneer and drove around for a few hours. No one was out except for a couple of churches that decided to still meet.

Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr

I pretty much drove around and snapped some pics of Wag.

Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr

I hope this Covid stuff passes pretty quickly, I miss doing things.

I know I already commented on it, but still such a bummer about your camera/lens. Speaking of which, I need to start using my Canon 40D more than I have been. I rely too much on my iPhone lately...that said, my iPhone 11 Pro Max takes amazing photos.

And I couldn't agree more. ***** that so many of the early Spring car events are going to be cancelled. Was looking forward to getting the M3 to some Cars and Coffee events soon. Oh well, as long as MA doesn't go into full lockdown/shelter in place, then I'll be driving her soon enough.

Yeah I am getting worried about the Vintage happening at this point. But yeah, I miss car shows.

Ouch sorry to see that dead Cannon. Was it covered under home owners insurance? I know my policy pays for a few high dollar items.

I didn't even check, I just ordered a lens. It was almost a $600 oops, but I think my deductible is higher than that.

Probably wouldn't have been worth it. Upgrade time?

I once paid Nikon $400 to clean my D300 and 18-200 lens, after I dribbled pork-on-a-stick juice all over them accidentally. I lived with it for a while, until the on/off button finally quit moving.

Everything being cancelled *****, but it's worth it for the cause. I'm hoping the Indianapolis Speedway Museum keeps their current exhibition up for longer, I'd really wanted to see it.

I think my wife and I caught the last major car event before all hell broke loose - Retromobile in Paris, back in early February. Who'd have thought February was going to be the best vacation time this year?

I ordered the same lens. I loved that lens since its perfect for car shows. It seems like everything is getting moved to the fall which is fine I guess but chances are things are going to stack up and I am going to miss out on something. Oh well, better than getting the Rona!

Yea, I was pretty upset when it happened. I will have the new one Thursday or Friday. The CCA thing was pretty funny, they emailed me and offered me $25 to use it, and then Griots added another $25 for all the winners that I dont get it. Id rather have the Griots gift card than the CCA one. :lol_hitti

I do have a small E9 update, they are finally working on it at the body shop. He has already pulled most of the front end damage. They just need to finesse it a little. I also think its going to get a full repaint, it wont be concours quality but its going to be a nice driver.

I had wondered if you were the first winner or just the announcement. Detailing credit over CCA shirt/sticker every day!!

Just the announcement. Don't get me wrong, I am honored and with everything going on I am not complaining about anything. Haha

So remember the broken camera lens... this was the picture I was taking when it broke.
