Officially closed on the loan/addition yesterday. I think Monday or Tuesday they come over to start demoing the $5k worth of driveway I bought a couple years ago. [emoji849] oh well. I have the house almost empty, 90% done, 90% to go.





I also had to move a bunch of stuff in the shop so they can access the plumbing and electrical.







I have to move a little bit more and drop cloth it tomorrow. I also have to move all my detailing stuff out to the hanger, I can't have dirty cars for the next 3-4 month.

The journey has officially started, I hope this is all worth it.

We got the house emptyed out today. Here are the "before shots." I think they are supposed to start demoing the kitchen and bath this week.

They are awesome. Burn low and slow around 225 for pull pork or brisket or crank it up to 700 for pizza or steaks. I wont cook on anything else ever again.

Man, no garage for 4 months with all your projects?

Did you salvage any of the appliances? Does your fiancee's house have nicer appliances than yours? I'm assuming you two are moving in to your place after you're married. Of course, I could be wrong since you tore out a perfectly good driveway that you just put in a few years ago... But if your appliances were nicer or newer, I probably would have moved them into her place. The fridge might have been a nice addition in the basement too. And the old oven could always be used for powder coating smaller sized parts...

We sold the appliances to a friend that has rental property. My fiancee is renting her house and my appliances honestly werent that nice. I did keep the fridge for the basement and I will fill it with beer as soon as I get moved in. The 4 months thing is rough, but it should be worth it in the end.

Nothing major but they did start to demo the bathroom. There was a kid over there all day yesterday chipping away with a hammer and chisel, and hes back at it this morning. Im hoping for some more progress pics tonight.

Hit a few snags today. Its a little discouraging but I guess its going to happen.

My fiancee texted this photo to me with the caption.... "we are supposed to have vaulted ceilings in the master right?"

I called the builder and he stopped the crew. I then get this photo from my fiancee. "The roof line is supposed to be the same all the way to the house so the TV area out side is covered..."

She is correct of course and meeting with the builder now. Have I mentioned she has a degree in architecture from Clemson? Haha.

Despite the set backs they are kicking ***. All the holes in the walls are patched and the bathroom is gutted.









I wonder how long that's been there.







And a few shots from inside the garage. I'm pretty happy with the size.







And some facade shots. The windows on the left are actually getting moved so we can fit a king sized bed between them.





The roof issues bothered me a little but walking through tonight was really exciting.
