I've been trying to follow along with that build, damn place is like a mini museum. Definetly worth checking out. 
That build and the tools in it are super nice and I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but if that building were here in the SE termites would get in that bottom 2 x 4, go into the rest of the wood, and collapse the building. If it's made from treated lumber it should be ok.
