Well it is supposed to be Spring here, but Mother Nature is thinking elsewise. ( I am looking for a groundhog named Phil. I have a bullet for him!) Below normal temperatures and still snowing. But I have to admit, It was absolutely beautiful this morning! Pictures do not do it justice. One of the most beautiful mornings on God's Green, er I mean White Earth

The entire 17 mile trip to work today was breathtaking. All the trees everywhere here were covered with about an inch of snow. The landscape made you stand in Awe.

Not yet but soon. I've been working on house stuff and fussing with the '30 Roadster Pickup. Somewhere along the way, the carbs got fouled(it'll run but it won't idle) and I'm having to clean 'em out.

What are you running for carbs? I have run Holley's on other rides of mine, but always ended up having to mess with them constantly. Then I was introduced to Edelbrocks (They were on the car when I bought it )- I have had dual Edelbrock 600 cfm carbs on my Fairlane for 12 years now, and never had to do anything but polish them up ( they came out with the Endurashine ones after) Pretty much take 'em outta the box, bolt them on and you're ready to go. I heard you can fine tune them, but I never had the need to.

Newly joined the forum, but I've been lurking, reading and enjoying for a few months now.

So many great shops on this forum and yours is right up there. You and yours have a nice spread there. Love all the finds you guys have dressed up. It seems you both have quite a bit of talent in graphics and art department.

I really like how both the jack and the old tool chest turned out, great work.

And I might as well join the herd and say that Fairlane is frikkin sweet..lol...I had a close friend in high school that had one and I still have good memories of that car and those times. (mostly good...lol)

Thanks for sharing...the snow looks beautiful, but you can have it. ;)

Thanks DrunkSmurf for the kind words. Cant wait to get the Fairlane out. We had some real hard rain yesterday that hopefully washed all the salt off the roads. Then it froze today so who knows if they put more salt out?

I'm running dual Edelbrock 500 CFM carbs on a 401 Buick nailhead. When I pulled the fuel inlets off, there were some rubber bits right in the carb inlet (still haven't figured out where they came from:headscrat). So anyway, I'm working on getting both carbs cleaned out.

Really like your shop, Breeze. Just so's you know, Lynyrd Skynyrd is always loaded in my CD changer in my garage and gets played regularly. Along with the Allman Brothers. Gotta love that southern-fried rock!

Thanks lowbucktruck, Call me the Breeze is one of my favorite Skynyrd tunes as well. Always like the southern fried rock.

Dave, (Picked up your name reading your thread)
Can't believe i didn't come across your thread earlier. I love antiques but unfortunately don't really have to many "garage" antiques. They seem to be tough to find here in New england. Anyway i have to commend you on the quality of your restoration ability on the tools, they all look fantastic. Your house looks cozy and your shop looks great. Not cluttered, clean and fully functional. Love it. You have already seen my 67 but i figured i give you and the readers another shot. Love your 66. Wish i had a big block. Enjoy the summer.

Thanks for the kind words Dave, I like it here, although I wish the garage was tall enough for a full size lift. Thanks for bringing your Fairlane into the Breeze stable LOL!

Thanks NASTYZEN!

Thanks Red Leader, Hope to get working on it a little more this summer. Interior Paint and some more touches soon. Yours is pretty nice too! I dig your wood working skills too. those curved shelves are amazing.

Well it's been a while since I've posted... Been totally changing the Breeze Place, building some new cabinets, refurbing some workbenches, painting, organizing, tossing junk, all because of the Garage Journal Addiction I have contracted by being here. Although I have become an addict, I'm not as bad as some others, As I still can't seem to be able to afford an epoxy, or tile floors yet ( 1700 +sq ft ) Pictures will be coming soon.
