Oh I have more stuff to paint, but I wanted to re-do the shop before the cold weather hits. ( my studio for clock and can painting is in the house ) BTW a friend of mine gave me a mini rag style can that I want to do up. Just another project on the list.

Shopnut..You wouldn't be able to tell it's a grarage the way it blew up

Plus it's hard enough to admit the addiction, Don't need the lable of "hoarder" as well LOL!!

Don't worry - I think most people on here have a tendency towards hoarders since most of us are DIY'ers and can make something from nothing.

I had to plan for an abnormally high amount of storage just to hide all my "nothing".

The whole place looks great Breeze. Everything has a home. The whiteboard on the face of the cabinets is a great idea, especially right there near your manuals and such. I bet that monster mobile workbench gets a ton of use (and can hold a ton!) - your facelift on it really makes it a focal point.

I see a hose and a light reel in there along with a bunch of extension cords - any plans for any spring-rewind power cord reels in there (if you don't have them already)? I bet you will find them worth ever penny.

I wish you fair weather this winter!

Thanks Shopnut, The mobile bench is the bench I use most of the time. It is very heavy duty. I store my chop saw and mini bandsaw under it. The top is 4 x 8 ( with the extension on it) and works great for all things especially when I am working on signs. It moves pretty decent with the 8 castors under it. They lock but the bench is so heavy it rarely moves when your working at it. Every once in a while I'll lock the castors. As far as the cord reels go, I have a trouble light on a reel in the center of the shop. Most of the extension cords only get used at Christmas time. My wife likes lights everywhere! I seen yours and I might have to put them on a wish list for the few that I actually use in the shop. I hope winter is fair too - Thanks!

Lookin great. It's nice to get a few shots with everthing in its place because it won't last that way for long.

BTW, did you epoxy your celing instead of the floor???

Kinda looks that way, don't it? It's actually foam board insulation ( celutex I believe ) Hopefully it will stay neat. It would be nice to epoxy the floor, but with over 1700 sq ft, it ain't happening anytime soon.

Lookin good. Now you will have to mess it all up again shortly, haha. I also noticed the "Mirrored ceiling", hows the wife like that ?:thumbup:. Love the license plate display, especially the "EATS GMS". I was however shocked to see the Mopar desk matt.:shocking:

Hey Dave... The ceiling reflects quite a bit of light with that foiled surface. It helps keep the heat in the shop too. As far as the wife... (That was good , but I don't think she would go for it out there :( )

The "EATS GMS" was the actual Fairlane's plate when I bought it from my friend. Trust me, He had to prove it on several occasions. Thats one of the reasons I didn't try to re-register that plate in NY. I have enough trouble with people pulling up beside me wanting to "run'em" without having to egg them on. My friend sold me the car, and said the plate was part of it, they belong together, so thats why it's on the wall.

The Mopar desk matt is actually a fender cover that I have sitting on the desk. I'm not too brand loyal, I like anything that is cool and fast! I've owned Chevys, Dodges, Fords and even a Studebaker. I guess it probably isn't fair to the Fairlane, to put a mopar fender cover on her when I'm working on it. :lol_hitti I'll have to get a Ford one outta respect. :thumbup:

Thanks for the kind words Mark. The "Handy Oil" cabinet was an old foremans desk that a friend of mine gave me. It was a drab green color and needed painted. I put the Esso oil boy on it just to liven it up a bit. I keep all my power tools in it and it has quite a bit of storage room. Keeping my wife from putting things on top of it is the hard part. hahaha.

Keep working on your place, and little by little, it will come around. I've been at my place for almost 22 years and it is now just becoming what I had envisioned years ago. Still not done, but it is a comfortable workshop.

'32 roadster is running fine, the '30 Roadster Pickup has some brake woes I'm working on, and the '68 Charger is undergoing a major refurb. - new paint, rebuilt motor, rebuilt ******, 4-wheel disc brakes, and custom interior. I'm hoping to see that one back on the road by the end of February.

Just wanted to throw out a bump for that Ford. In my early twenties (mid-eighties) I had a 1968 Ford Galaxy XL convertible. It was stunning, and the biggest regret I have to this day was selling it off...
