I picked this up this past Sunday while we were at a cruse-in. They had a small flea market area there. The lady was un-nogotiable... I offered her $ 3.00 for it, and she gave me that old school marm look and said "NO' , so I put it back and thought , she'll take that price at the end of the day if she doesn't sell it. An hour later,I sent a buddie of mine over to see if she would sell it to him for $3, She told him "NO!" too... " I've been offered 3 dollars all day for that thing". So at the end of the day when she was packing up, I paid her asking price of $5.00. LOL I placed a quarter on it to show how small it really is. surprisingly it opens 1 1/2 inches. I just thought it was the cutest little thing.View media item 5431 The only marks on it say "Japan"

Really like your place! On the little vice I have this one .It belonged to my grandfather who used it when he built model boats. Mine says Taiwan on one side and Oxwall on the other. Cool to see one just like it!. Mel

I think all of those big red signs should have the "STOP" acronym defined on them for the new motorists and it would be a good reminder for us older ones too! :)

Looking good!

Great striping on that sign, Breeze!

Thanks Hemihead, just had some free time and felt like painting... haven't painted anything since the beginning of September!

Thanks Shopnut... Squealing tires at every intersection helps the economy... keeps the tire guys, gasoline guys, and parts guys happy! plus it gets the old grannys in the neighborhoods bloodpressure up, and the doctors, and pharmacies like that.

You really have some talent for signs! Awesome work. Garage is perfect and the house and land are gems.

Thanks Melvin

That's a good thing - especially if it's a step ladder! :) (I hope I haven't developed a phobia towards them :wtf:)

The pin-striping looks great Breeze.

Ladders and shopnuts don't go too well together LOL! Ya healed up yet?

The doctor cleared me to start putting weight on the leg, but none on that heel bone. At least I can work on getting the muscles back into shape now. It'll be another three weeks before the heel can see action though. I'll get there! Thanks for asking.

I love everything about your place. Nice piece of property you have there.

I really like the old wood siding, the barn light, and the back/side door.

Great Thread!!! Great morning killer haha. I too love taking older things and giving them new life. I go to a lot of auctions and buy and sell things as a side business. I love old toys and old tools and shop stuff. When I restore an old toy truck I am always looking for decals for them. Think you could help me out with this? I do not have near the artistic ability as you and I so wish I did. I have never met an engineer (I am one myself) who also has an amazing artistic side like you didnt know you could have a 2 sided brain like that haha.

I am currently looking to build a 48 x 60 with a 12 foot side shed that will be used as an apartment and shop until we can build our house.

I may be able to help out, ( I have a few others waiting too, and I will get back to you guys) I just started a new job ( real one) in engineering with a great company and am having to learn whole new systems which I am going crazy a bit. so once things get better adjusted I'll get back with ya! Have you ever tried shutting off a 2 sided brain? LOL!
