...to make this place cool?

just leave it as it is -
tidy up a little, if you must...
not *too* much though.

That place oozes character.

Just use it

;-)

As above....

Maybe a few high level shelves to clear some of the clutter, other than that I'd leave it as it is.

Beautiful bike... Beautiful car... Very nice garage

Edit: forgot to add.... You could spend thousands on this garage but you'd never get back that character!! Just my opinion.
What do you do in the garage? From the contents it's obviously used as a place to tinker as well as storing your toys... Do you need more lighting?

Sort through everything on the shelfs. Sort into order. Then if you prefer fit doors to the shelfs for a cleaner look. Colour paint all the shelfs and the garage doors so they match. Maybe more cabinates or tool chest for a cleaner organised look.
Most here will probably say keep the brick walls as there caracter as they are use to stick build garages. Were as brick or block or even stone is normal in the uk. The biggest different I had was how much brighter and bigger my garage looked and cleaner with light painted walls.

The garage looks good in the photos but looking good and being good to work in are not always the same thing.

I love the road sign.

I also love English bond brickwork but I also know that bare brick is very dusty. If you want to keep the brick look then seal it to keep the dust down.

Insulate the roof and put a ceiling up and paint it white and install better lighting if you want to brighten it up.

A few cupboards on the walls could get rid of some of the clutter.

However, its up to you what you want to do.

Love the car and both bikes.

Wow. Make it cool? The Jag and the Vincent would make any shop cool! The brick, ceiling and the doors all scream character.

If it were mine, I'd look around to see what opportunities there are to de-clutter it a bit, maybe some cabinetry or a small shed to store parts, paints, solvents, etc. Maybe think vertical with a tall cabinet. Some interesting lighting.

Look forward to seeing what y'all come up with!

The minor sounds interesting.

A word of advice from a paranoid old git. Change your profile so you dont give away your town. A quick google of Old Police Station and your town would easily find you and both the Jag and the Vincent are desirable if you get my drift.

On the other hand I might just be paranoid about what I post on the net.

All right mate, time to get off you derriers, get off the computer and get out to the garage and start tossing out the junk you won't use in a year!
Start with the storage cabinet!

3G2A2985_zps75cb6519.jpg

Some of that stuff has probably been there for 5 years!
Once you get some room in the cabinet, start clearing off the bench, put the knife blade...

3G2A2984_zps86bfa611.jpg

....and any other loose tool in the toolbox....AND get in the habit of putting the tools back in the box when your done with them!!!

Those cabinets from the old kitchen, in back of the motorcycle, really need to be thrown out....

Maybe build some High cabinets or shelves above that old kitchen unit to store all the stuff so you can remove the unit and store that motorcycle in that area, underneath the new cabinets above.

When I look at your garage, I see storage issues.
Clean, toss, store responsibly (flammables in closed metal cabinets!) and make a place to store clean rags..there all over!

I look at your small engine bench and the toolbox area and I see a "Great wall", nice area!
Use it as inspiration to clean up the other disaster areas!
You can do it...GET ER DONE...as they say in America!
The garage just needs a little tweaking...it is a cool area with a lot of character!
Sorry if I was a little harsh...sometimes we all need a little kick in the **** to make a cool garage...AWESOME!

Your quite cool as it is!! My eyes went straight to the old medical cabinet in photo 3, post 1, and also in post 17. If that is actually an old medical or dental cabinet, that is ultra cool! Your green vise (or as you spell it "vice" over there, is wonderful!!! Should be a center piece indeed! Now the doors of your garage are beautiful in their design!! This is what I call ultra cool 1930's vintage. Along with your brick walls, these doors shout COOL as in a 30's auto shop. Cool? Hey your already waaaay cool!! All you gotta do is straighten it up a little, but no too much!! The main thing is to protect that old white medical cabinet!! It is a true treasure!!
YOUR WAY COOL!!!

Best Regards
Herb Spencer

I concur on the car! this one's in my garage, which incidentally was as cluttered or worse before I cleaned and reorganized it last fall......so it CAN be done!

BTW, that's an A series 998 out of a Mini in those boxes, on it's way back to it's owner.....

A couple of coats of white emulsion on the walls will make a big improvement to the light when working in there at night, also plenty of tube lights.

Nope, it's a 1098 going in my moggy, and my grandfather was a dentist and fellow tool lover so the Ritter is a mini lathe he use to use for work and it's good for small grinding jobs and the old cabinet is indeed his old dentist cabinet I agree I will tidy it up a bit, also the wall with the toolbox, clock and being were all bought by me and my dad is the one who doesn't put the tools away lol

Pretty cool bones. I love brick and stone which seem to be more the norm in the UK and on the Continent. I would try to clear out some of the rubble. I know, it's all useful at some point but only if you can find it. Hopefully you can find some nice wood files, shelves or ? to store things ins so that the focus is one the whole and not the untidy parts.

Yeah, the car and the bike add huge to the environment.
