This is by far the nicest garage I have ever seen, the design is amazing... But, I have to ask, what you do for a living?!

Thanks for the support guys.

I'm a pretty trusting guy and am excited about my project as well as following other projects on the board here. I just had some issues come up with people trying to nail down exactly where I live, wanting too much detail as to what I was putting inside, downstairs, type of security system etc....(made me very nervous)

I would like to thank the board for all the great ideas I recieved (many of which I implemented on my build)

Give me a couple weeks and I'll see about posting up some of the pics again..

Well, there we have it. The greed of others ruins it for everyone :(
I totally understand though. You gotta protect what ya got. Great work none the less. I really appreciate you sharing what you already have.

Pffft...there's a kid in my neighborhood with a BigWheel that says he'll race you for titles.I'd be careful.....lol

Nice cars and garage build.

The big wheel would probably hook up better than the Camaro.

Anything new going on in the "Bunker"? Some cars gone, new cars in their place? Cabinets, tools, projects?

Nothing too major..

Current stable is

'02 Lambo Murcielago
'10 Camaro (1000hp)
'00 C5 Vette (twin turbo)
'06 Ferrari F430

The only big change I'm looking at this winter is doing brick all over on the inside walls. Getting sick of the paint scheme...

Truly awesome!

I don't blame you for being concerned. I live in a "nice" neighborhood, but still don't sit in my spare garage with the big door left wide open for " opportunists" to scope out what might all be inside and I have nowhere near the toy equity you have.

My friends and close neighbors have been inside and I have even given them the keys to do vehicle maintenance in while I was gone, but some people will just simply take what is not theirs and figure it is their right. I would install a video security system if I were you.

Other than that, you have given me something to have my garage aspire to.

Just read all 39 pages and had to sign up to comment. You Sir are an inspiration.
The passage way, the secret door, the below ground rooms.....I've been building the very same thing in my head for when my numbers come up. Thank you for making my dreams your reality. All the best to you and yours.

I have thought about doing something like this for the past 5 years only on a much smaller scale. However I'm retired and living on social security / savings so It's just a dream now. Yours is way so cool and beyond anything that I imagined. The tunnel just blows me away.

I may have missed it but what does he do for a living? I'm blown away with not only the garage but the change of cars from Ferrari to Lamborghini then getting another Ferrari... just wow.

This is an amazing idea and you have done what everyman has always fantasized about doing. Seriously, a hidden man-cave. How do you even begin to explain this to people who have never seen it? "So uh...wanna hang out in my garage? Underground!!!"

Utah997, great garage, as all the others have said. I just have one question. When I looked at the first pictures of your build, it almost seemed like you were building a pretty shallow basement - obviously a misconception from the pictures. When I saw the guy holding the concrete hose it seems like your hole must be nearly 20 feet deep!

How deep was the dig?

First off, absolutely amazing design.

I recently returned from a deployment to Afghanistan, when I got home I had promised to finish a portion of our basement for my daughters to have a play/gymnastics/drums play room. So I framed out an 18x20 room and left a door towards the back of the room where I have built a bookcase and intend to make it a hidden door as well.

I've been busy and so for about 4 months the bookcase is just sitting in the doorway, still trying to figure out how to mount it so it works perfect.

Now I come across this AMAZING thread and see how you did a pocket door, and I have to say, I NEVER thought of that as a possibility, but love the idea!

Your execution is flawless and you taste in cars is very similar to mine. I have a 2010 Camaro SS, a '67 Camaro RS/SS (protouring) and a Ducati Streetfighter. Can't yet afford the other Italians, but the dream is to add the new '14 Stingray and a Ferrari 458 Italia. I can dream right? haha

Keep up the updates, would love to see the tunnel progress.

I gotta second that.. an APPROXIMATE cost would be helpful in thinking about doing this

my bet would be 1/2-3/4 mil :shocking:

It all depends. If you are including all construction costs, then all the finish work (theater, gym equipment) etc, etc.. or just construction.

Either way you are a little high...

I dont know where to begin but when I saw the title "bunker", I was almost prepared to apply my aluminum foil hat and then quickly began "OMFGing" as if I was the star of the newest gang-bang DVD!

Your stable of cars is equally amazing! I love garages, if your's is such LOL and cars. You are definately blessed and obviously worked very hard to accomplish the means to be able to live the life.
With that being said, I hope to apply sheetrock to the walls of my barren garage or shed compared to yours! Hahaha.
