The castor shop in NZ

Hey guys,
New here, from New Zealand..
just been introduced to his page,
Thought i'd share what my dad I have been doing in our spare time the past couple years between working and travelling.



We started with hiring a ****** little thing close the pukekohe track hairpin..

Then brought this

Guess that's the biggest comparison shot I have,
Always have been to busy to stop and take pictures as we go.

Can see what we've done there, taken the ceiling back, was the lounge but now storage,
Lets in a Lot more light, which was what we're after,
as much natural light as possible,
The right hand side wall was taken back too, to the door, there was a box steel pole there, but we had that moved to the far wall side.


This picture above, there was a low ceiling, about 200mm,
we de nailed up, lifted it then gibbed everything with the fire proof gib.



And that's what we're up to now.
Finish that wall,
Sand and paint the floor,
Finalize there machines and benches go..

Oh yeah,
I call it the castor shop because everything that can be, is on castors =)

Extremely hard to follow as the English is bad.
I think he said they have hired?? a place near the Pukekohe race track..

More of a weekend car..
still deciding weather to make it a track car, or keep it as street as possible track car =)

Just brought an RX7 landing from JP in a couple weeks,
and have a R32 sitting and waiting for the shop to be finished

No recent ones, and no old ones because hard drive failure.
Will check FB though, owned the thing 10 years =)

Uh,
the live in i've taken no photos, but its, stairs to the right of the entrance, kitchen, new (smaller) lounge area, 180* turn into a hallway with one room, bathroom and 2nd room.
Is a nice and simple set up

This is an ongoing development.. We took it to the bathurst 12 hour this year

why the negativity???? Who wouldnt want to have a job doing something you love. I have to work at something that is hardly satisfying to pay the bills, and then I have a hobby to make up the difference. But to have a job that is your hobby, come on.......

Very simple answer.
Not ALL of us wish to do that job.
No negativity there at all.

Presuming we ALL would like that job is just that. Presumption.

If I insisted on correcting every mis-statement on Garage Journal, I'd be the most frequent poster ever. I'd also be the most hated person on Garage Journal. Put another way, it's important to know when something needs to be said and when simply walking away is a better choice.
