I saw Wes using some hose pliers on a vid and thought, hey, those are handy. Amazon was $85 for three plier double X Gearwrench set, but in this weeks Princess Auto flyer, it was $17 for a Titan three plier set, single cross. Made in India, bit rough, but these won't be work tools. Also for $9 a metric set of flare nut crowfoot wrenches, This time Powerfist, and also Made In India, In the drawer are a set of SAE ones I've had for awhile, also with India on them. These prices are Canadian dollars which are only worth 75 cents.

When Princess auto or Harbor Freight really cheap out and start making the tools in India or Vietnam, this is when I start getting worried. A lot of powerfist tools got their COO switched from Taiwan to China lately. Princess auto better not mess with the COO on their pro point line of tools.

"Powerfist" is a really unfortunate name for a line of tools...

With my first paycheque I bought a 3/8" metric Oxwall socket set, Made in Japan. I found one of those sockets in the 3/8" metric drawer. It went directly to the scrap steel bucket. West Germany, Japan, China and now India.

The hose pliers were rough, but the crowfoots looked OK.

Princess Auto is a pretty off-the-wall store chain. They are using Propoint as their better line and Powerfist as the price leader.

I have some 18yo Harbor Freight stubby wrenches that are made from India. There pretty crappy compared to today's wrenches, but they don't used much.
