I've been lurking around the site for a while now, thought I should publish the build of my garage space for others to see. I moved in here about 6 months ago and I have put together a decent workshop, and gotten alot of work done.

this is the first picture i took of the garage not long after I moved in.

the table top is a lightweight fiber board, very sturdy though. it will lift off and a surf board can be put on the sawhorses. also a basic shelf with some screw in hooks to hang stuff from.

on a side not i came up with a good skid plate for a skateboard using a brake pad. I noticed the tail was wearing down so i thought about getting some plastic store bought ones. the brake pad off of my roommate's 97 lexus fits perfect! (don't worry it was a spare set of pads!)

I want to always have the ability to pull a car into my garage to do repairs if necessary. Therefore floor space is essential. I mounted two pulleys on the rafters when i was borrowing a ladder from work to change my light bulbs. In hindsight I should have integrated some more pulleys, but the kayak is not seeing much use until summer rolls around. It's off the floor now!

I had a few extra bicycle rims and tires laying around and they are just akward to store. I came up with this idea and went to the local hardware store with $10 and a dream. I had a feeling the wooden rod would bend some but nothing has fallen off yet! its been up there for a few months now, so im leaving it as it is.

It is just a stamped shelf bracket with a wooden rod held down by a U-bolt.
