Looks great! Nice job. I think I'll take your idea of cabinets over the garbage bins.

Had a bunch of my son's friends come over for his birthday and the plan was to have a ice cream bar in the backyard. And sure enough it started raining, so last minute change of location and yes, it was moved to the garage! Out goes the cars, and in come the chairs and table! One of the many benefits of having a done garage - it can be a party room!

Have you tried putting the tall cabinet next to the steps, then the shorter cabinet, then the tall cabinet with the two smaller cabinets in the middle over the short cabinet. Clear as mud:lol: That way all your cabinets are on one side, then you could put some shelving or tire rack over the trash cans. My .02cents, still looks good which ever way you go.

You need to paint the trash cans to match the cabinets!

Paint the trash cans to match with the color scheme?! Did you confuse me with Rick (55cadillacking)?!! hahahahaha!

I dont have winter tires (maybe I should given I currently have summer performance tires, but then I dont drive much, anyway, thats a whole different story) and hence spreading the cabinets kinda' balanced the setup.. at least thats the thought!

Great looking space! The attention to detail is what really does it for me and the Audi logos make me miss my old 5000CS turbo quattro--especially after seeing the "old style" font.

I have to admit I was thinking the same thing regarding painting the trash cans to match but that is a slippery slope...:D

Awesome garage! How did you paint the red stripe? I am thinking of doing the same thing...did you use painting tape above and below to prevent bleed?

Great shop! As a fellow four-ring driver, I really like what you did with the rhombuses (thank your son for that, otherwise I'd have said boxes as well) and the art. The canvas really pops in a way that framed art wouldn't have.

Very cool garage, I'm not even an Audi / VW fan and I'm loving the scheme. I especially like what you did with the three sketches. Congrats on a job awesomely done!

Old thread, but worthy!
I've been browsing these pages for awhile and found this one meets my vision.
How has the RaceDeck held up over the last few years?
Would you do anything different, now that you have lived with it?

If you have had good success with it, I may be well on my way to copyright infringement, part two!

Thanks for sharing!

No complaints at all on the RaceDeck.. Now, it is little bit maintenance especially when it snows, but nothing big at all.. They have held on well.

I am planning on doing a full wash of the tiles using Rick's approach, should get on it..

I will get some pics posted this weekend..

Nice space... I really dig the canvas/rhombus accent.

When you say that its a little bit of maintenance when it snows, what exactly do you mean? Is it simply an issue with keeping it clean? I'm considering putting the free flow race deck in my wife's attached garage. There are always puddles in there from snow melt during winter and, even with two giant utility rugs on both sides of the door, it always seems to get tracked into the house (not blaming her, I'm guilty too).
