I have a similar size garage as you and fit both a full size crew cab Chevy truck and an Impala in there, plus have a table saw. It's tight but it works.

Doors on the cabinets look good. Costco had a real nice yard cabinet last year, I use it for cushions but could easily fit rakes and a small mower in there.

I feel your pain man. I am in the process of selling my house with a 3 car and I just moved into a rental with 2 cars. Time to get creative as I have 3 cars worth of stuff.

I am also in Tampa and I think I have the same exact dimension garage as you do. I am brainstorming how to make the most of it. I'll PM you more pictures of ideas I have and we can compare notes. My garage is also tiny at ~20x~19, they really screwed me when building the house. I am determined to get two cars in there and have room to work.

Btw, I have an MK2 GTI and my wife drives an Mk7 GTI.

Our dimensions look pretty similar although I wish I had that nook that you have up at the front.

Been slowly working on some organizing. Finally used the stuff I purchased mentioned in a prior post to hang up my saw horses, line trimmer, and hose. Decluttered by tossing some **** I don't need. Shifted both ladders to the very front by the door and, as luck would have it, with both there they lock each other in so no chance of it falling on the car. I now have a set of wheels I'm trying to sell so once those are gone I'll be able to get some more shelving or cabinetry or something to start finally unpacking some of the stuff in boxes on the one shelf. Once I get more stuff cleared out I need to see about moving a couple bikes out there for regular neighborhood use as it is a bit cumbersome for my wife to move her bike from inside the house where all my bikes are. I think I'll have plenty of room for her to just lean it up against the wall on the one side.

The tankless water heater may happen this summer which is going to open up some different opportunities.

Sounds like things are coming along.

I am also leaning towards a tankless water heater and am working with our AC guy to relocate the air handler into the attic to free up that floor space. Also need to come up with a solution for the water softener which is also taking up floor space. I hate that most people buying houses don't make this a priority enough to force builders to put all this stuff outside of the garage..

The garage seems to be an afterthought for builders, but the vast majority of buyers really don't care about garages. I'm just thankful in my case the builder decided to inset the HVAC **** into a buffer zone instead of making the room that shares the wall a bit larger and just plopping the equipment into the garage to **** up more space.

Are you looking to move your water softener outside?

So my project list got a little longer yesterday. We tried some IKEA shelving in our formal living room (a.k.a. the useless furnished room no one uses) but after having them in there for a bit we decided we don't like them. I'm in dire need of some work space and storage in my office that doubles as my bicycle workshop so I'm going to transition them in there. I also have an old kitchen table that I was going to start using as a light duty work bench for building wheels and whatnot. Plan is to integrate the two somehow.

Here is the shelving unit. Going to move those cabinets up to the top position and I'm thinking cut the two inner vertical pieces at table top height then attach those to the table top.

Felt this thread needed more pictures. Here is the small progress I've made on the sides. Paint cans are only there temporarily. Still need to get my leaf blower off the floor and we are getting a small deck box for those bags of fertilizer.

Yesterday I sold my wheels/tires that were taking up real estate at the front of the garage by the door to the laundry. I have a cheap metal Ikea shelf that I was going to put there but thinking I may go for some wall mount cabinets to avoid a bunch of visual clutter.

I'll snap a photo of the front wall as soon as I move some **** out of there. Temporarily cluttered with **** I took off the Rabbit to sell.
