Haven't spent much time on here in a long time, and barely updated my last thread just after the shop was finished. Decided to start fresh & post some current pics of the shop. I changed directions from having a place to build/work on cars, to having a place that doubles as a woodshop and an armory/gunsmithing shop-- all while sharing room with my mowers and other semi-organized junk.
The shop is 24x45 w/ 10' ceilings, 1- 36" walk-in door, 1-34" walk-in door, and a 12x8 garage door. It has 100amp service branched off from my home panel. I went overkill on outlets and put in 49 outlets with some high on the wall, some low & on a separate circuit, and each double gang outlet box contains 2 separate circuits.
I also installed outlets in the ceiling and plugged in LED shop lights for my overhead lighting. All lights are connected to a smart switch & are controlled via the switch, Alexa and phone app.
I still have plenty left to do, but here are some pics of the progress so far.
The table under the Sig flag is the gunsmithing area, everything else is for woodworking. I still have a few tools to move in and tool stands to build, need to finish the ceiling, and need to get some more cabinets up. Otherwise, this is pretty much how it's going to be.
Hope y'all enjoy the pics. This is the shop I've tried to build/wished for for almost 20 years. Feels good to finally get there, albeit with a few concessions. The next shop I build will hopefully be my last, and be twice the size of this one.
(Excuse the window frames in that last picture... They were painted black shortly after it was taken lol)
