I have garage doors. One of my coworkers cousin owns a garage door install & repair co. & hooked me up. Both doors are insulated 9 R-value with high lift tracks. I got the back wall siding up while they were installing the doors. So far a good day

I got the 4 sides done. I started to put up the soffits, not easy to do by yourself. I had to make some L shaped jigs to hold the hardie plank once I got it up there. Then I put a 2x4 under the hardie plank so I could lift it without it breaking. The fun part is climbing the ladder with no hands & trying to slide the 12ft plank into place. :willy_nil

I've been busy getting the electrical trench dug, hit 2 pockets of granite. Rotary hammer took care of one & the other I trenched under. Now just waiting for the electrician to pull the cable & power it up.

Power is on. I backfilled the trench over multiple days so them rain could compact the dirt. I got the fascia and soffits primed & painted. The front battens are on.

I decided to clean up the garage so I can pressure wash the floor & seal the concrete next weekend. Its nice not to trip over things anymore. Its also nice to have a truck to hide all the **** in until I build some cabinets

The pressure washing did not go as planned. I have some stains from leaves that won't come up. Also have some rust looking spots, don't know what there from.

Perhaps an acid stain is in order? It would look fantastic, especially with the deuce!

Very nice garage/shop area. Pretty close to what I would love to have one day when I have enough space to do so. The high ceilings help with lifts...as I see you have planned. The Deuce is AWESOME. I am itching so bad for one, but just do not have the room for one! Keep up the good work!

Hi Guys,
I had to take some time off from working on the garage for a side project but that is over now. I started on getting the ceiling drywall up, not so bad with the scissor lift. The hardest part was getting the 5/8 x 12 drywall out of the deuce on the scissor lift. I have 7 of the 9 lights up, some of the outlets in & some of the insulation in.

I have done a lot since my last post. I got all the wiring done, insulation & drywall hung. I have been taping & mudding for a long time. Its a lot to handle for 1 person only working on some weekends. Also my lift came in:rocker:

I got the walls & ceiling painted, lights up, ceiling fans up, mini split in, lift in & blown in insulation it the attic. Then I noticed that after I did the blown in insulation that some of the tape joints on the ceiling have cracked from me walking on the trusses. I had to take a break after seeing the cracks because I spent so much time doing the drywall & it's going to be a pain fixing them with the lift up.

Love your floors. Is it a DIY job or did you hire? After they were polished, what type of sealer did you use?

I hired out the floor after looking in too how much it would cost just for me to rent the equipment. It took him 2 long days to do it so I'm glad I hired it out. The sealer was put in during the polishing so I don't remember what he used. I did look it up back then & it was expensive
