I was lucky to have been gifted a Proto version a while back...promptly put it on my Keychain and it has been a lifesaver over & over again in my job.... I do computer support and the thumbscrews for monitors and such are always frozen on...works great to bust em loose.

I look for them in the bottom of Estate Sale and Garage Sale tool boxes. Everyone will grab the obvious stuff but they sometimes miss the little stuff.

Haven't found on in the wild yet - but I'll keep looking.

The only one I've ever seen over here (Ireland and U.K.) is the Lucas version which had a swing out, rivetted-on feeler gauge.iirc 15 thou for setting contact breaker points gap and possibly magneto points? Was sometimes found in some old British car toolkits?
(no picture 'cos I'm a computer ignoramus).

They sell these (the round style) at the dollar store sometimes usually with a bottle opener. Just saying before you go nuts and start cutting up screwdrivers.

The dollar store chinese ones aren't complete **** either just in case anyone was wondering.

Have that same one...came in a Craftsman set around 1990 and my mechanic neighbor was going to throw it out, so I grabbed it. Been on my key chain ever since, and yes, has come in handy.

I've had the proto one on the right on my key ring for about 30 years.
It's held up really well over the years.

DE STA CO POCKET SCREW DRIVER

I first became aware of it on my father's key chain approximately 40 years ago. I have since inherrited it and carry it on my keys. I know nothing else about it.

Glad you guys like my little collection. I literally found them each buried in other stuff at the bottom of boxes and drawers..

Some cool ones posted here so far. I need to find me a Herbrand and a Proto LA, and that other Stanley looks pretty sweet too.

I also have a bunch in the style of the Craftsman 4 way with different company advertising. The first time seeing one other than CraftsmanI was surprising, but there are all sorts ot there. Anyone know who makes them?

I've got the Snap-On version that I inherited from my Dad. I'm afraid of losing it, so it stays on a ring with the keys to his Snap-On box, which I also inherited.

I've got a Plomb that is nearly identical to the ones 3baygarage posted. Found it in a cigar box at an antique store somewhere between the ages of 12-15. I've had it on my keyring ever since. It's been a ****-saver many times over.
