....I like it.

I can't have it. But I still like it.

But the real classic in those pics is tucked away: 1980's Suzuki Katana - the original

Now that, I can have !

That got me way more excited than the red car! 1982 GS1000S & 1983 GS1100S Katana! Baby! That is the ****! And it would outrund the red car, too! I had one of each, both basket cases, but good enough to build one GS1100S. I have sold three vehicles that I would give most anything to have back. 1. my 1953 Studebaker, 2. my 1986 GSXR 1100, 3. My 1983 GS1100S Katana. If you told me I could have just one back, right now, I would have to commit suicide before I could choose!

If you look around on the net, you will find they reproduced the Katana in nearly identical form around 2001 for the European market. The tattle-tale was piggy-back shocks and modern version of that inline four. $12K, if I recall. WOW!

We now return to our regularly scheduled program...The little red car in a ritzy garage....

Did people ever mess with your car? I'd like to get one some day but do think it would become a garage queen, since I would be afraid to take it anywhere that it would need to be left parked outside (like going to dinner or a movie). I have old Porsche's but people seem to not know what they are or they're just somewhat respectful and leave them alone. An Fcar would definitely draw a lot of attention and would most likely get damaged. I live in Chicagoland and do see a lot of Ferrari's, especially in the summer, but I've yet to ever see one actually parked by itself somewhere. I have to wonder if that's why folks never seem to drive these cars (besides the high cost of dealer maintenance). During the time you owned it, where did you take it and how many miles did you end up putting on it? Thanks

If you live in Chicago and drive a Ferrari, don't leave it with the parking attendants.

I've often seen that same chair and ottoman combo a many upscale estate sales. Is it very comfortable?

Yes.

If it's real, in excellent condition, and of a certain vintage, it can be worth something.

edit: re: Aeron chairs: when the "dot.com boom" went bust a lot of these chairs were auctioned pretty cheap. After service is in my opinion lacking. They trace it to the original owner. Parts aren't bad and if you're handy, you can fix it yourself, I assume. The levers and cables can get messed up. I guess the fabric can sag too if you get a guy who doesn't fit in it who constantly sits in. I've got one in my office where some guy sits in it who shouldn't :( and would like to have the whole thing re-stretched.

I agree, comfy chair, have one in my living room as the focal point of the room ;)
Hard to beat the mid-centry classics...wish I had the money to outfit the entire house with the pieces my wife wants (she's an interior designer).

You have to be in the right neighborhood....

If you walk down the street in Ft. Lauderdale for example, most people would not even give an F50 parked at a meter a second look.
