I finished the floow earlier today and everything looks great I think. All-in-all the process was not as difficult as I was prepared for, basically it was just like painting a room. I went with the Rustoleum Epoxy Shield Pro and clear coat. The base coat and flakes went on yesterday and the clear went on today.
My notes:
1. Definitely get the clear coat, I would have been very upset with myself had I not gotten it. The first coat had lots of roller marks and the sheen was not consistant.
2. Get the 18" 3/8 nap roller. I had both and 18" and a 9" and the 18" just was worlds better.
3. Get a handle that extends. On my floor I did it in 1/4s, the back 1/4th first then finished off the back half. Once that was done I was able to reach all the way to the wall to walk it out with the roller since I got an extending handle.
4. The best flakes distribution was acheived by throwing them as high in the air as possible. Its hard to get them out further than about 8ft or so, I actually put some on the end of a broom and tossed that in the air. In hind-sight I woulda got the spiked shoes.
5. I was hard to know exactly how much epoxy to put down, I didn't want to run out and I didn't want to go too thin. The smartest thing would have been to divide it into seperate cans, one for each 1/4 of the floor. Mine nded up much thicker at the end because I wasn't putting as much down at first as I could have.
All-in-all I had a good experience and it was well worth it, I spent just under $500 for a 750 sq ft garage and I am very pleased with the results.
