This isn't just a decent breaker bar. It's a great breaker bar. The best thing about is thats it's super strong. I've stood on the bar (320 lbs), kicked it, put a pipe on it. The Fact that it is finished very well and can be caught on sale from 9.99-12.99 is just iceing on the cake. Would be a great deal at 50 dollars. Is it better than Snap-On? I doubt it but I would hate to bet against it in a match up with it's 104 dollar 24" twin. The very first time I ever walked into a HF I bought one out of need. I now have one in all my boxes and cart.

Stanley dead blow hammers are great...
OEM tools aren't bad, specifec tools though.
my old craftsman 80 tooth 1/2 drive is the sh*t.

Tools I will never buy again are great neck (cheap autozone tools, the duralast are actually pretty good as well), I grabbed a torx socket set, first pull rounded the damn thing right out (heads on an explorer, went back and got the duralast one, didn't even know my dad had a snappy one though....I have used that duralast one a bunch now, looks brand new still.

Not a fan of craftsman screwdrivers( the read and blue handled ones)

the new great neck breaker bar is a a pos. i have an older version that looks just like the one HF is selling now for $12.99. i have used it for a year in the shop now and it hasn't even bent. i was using a SO 1/2 breaker that i bent trying to get that damn spindle nut off a Dodge 1500

i have that very same one. I really wanted to get the snap on one but i just didn't have enough money for it so i bought this one and figured i would replace it with snap on when it broke...3 yrs later, still hasn't broke and if it did, i would buy it again, not warratied but actually buy it. if i break a tool, but it served me very well i have no problem buying another one...regardless of warrenty. the only time i don't is if i don't have $$$ for it...but then when i do, i go back and buy more tools from the same company to show support.

I got the 18" HF breaker bar and it has been fantastic. At $10 there's no reason to not have one.

Tomorrow is Craftsman Club day and I'm going shopping. You do know about CC don't you? You get to apply your discount to whatever the current price is, sale or otherwise. It adds up if you can be patient. Google it.

Dave.
Gota eat crow on this one. My card says that I signed up in 1993 so things must have changed or my memory is reinventing stuff again. :shocking:

No discount. Sale priced items are discounted but this weeks (not just 1 day) items are not what I wanted. All the sockets were 12 pt and no 6 pt in the package.

Dave with crow on his face.

Ive been a member since around 97. I can count the number it's helped me out on one hand and have some left over. last year in my area we got Black Friday pricing on Thursday. That was pretty cool but when i went back on Black friday they had 10X more stuff out. Craftsman club is stupid in my area. Who the hell needs a snowblower in Myrtle Beach.

I can't do it. Whan I'm using a breaker bar I'm usually really leaning into it. I couldn't stop thinking about flying across the floor....

Buy one and try to break it. I'm sure it can be done but I'm sure it won't be under normal conditions
