Some of the boxes the Fatman has picked up.
First the good. Its a Mac Tech 1000 with a stainless top and a CMan enclosed screw vise. I bought originally from a guy who was relocating and no longer turning wrenches. One of the harder boxes to retrieve that I have bought. He lived in an apartment and we had to roll the box a good distance through somewhat soft grass. Fortunately, it was down hill though it was quite the workout. Box is in decent shape. Sold it once and bought it back just recently.
Now the ugly. I bought this box about 2 years ago at an auction for $35. No one knew it was Snap on. It was dirty with but it was a roller and a mid box. I just now pressure washed it and lubed the slides. They work ok. I also put linseed oil on the paint. Certainly is not a looker but I think I am going to take it home. My single stack at home is full and I am gearing up for getting rid of my business and will need more tools at home. I never had many tools at home because I had a full shop about a mile away. That may change in a year or two. I have my hardware assortment up to speed at home and now its time for tools.

Had a guy stop in to see if I wanted to buy his tool box. I wasn't in so he left the info with my wife. We played tag for a bit but finally hooked up. He was a body tech that went into management and didn't need the box and had some bills to pay. I really did not need any more boxes in inventory but went to look. You know the time to buy used tools or boxes is when you see them. Well it is a late model SO with 2 full length deep drawers, late model mag wheels and in real nice shape. Made an offer that I didn't think he would accept. Well, it did accept after a couple of days. Being in a body shop, the box was dusty inside and out. But being as it wasn't that old, it cleaned up easily.
