So I have been a long time lurker and minimal poster but I was able to finally get another garage space after years of wishing. I have labeled this thread "The Great Compromise" due to the fact that the wife wanted a concrete patio in the back yard so I suggested looking into getting a metal garage since concrete guys would be out here anyway. She reluctantly agreed and I started pricing out garages. I ended up getting a 18x21 with 9' high side walls. So here is the journey...
It all started with a brick paver patio that wasn't doing so well
So the next step was to remove all said brick pavers and move them to the other side of the yard to be used for an undetermined project
Next step was having the forms made for the future concrete
Then came the glorious day of concrete
Next came the installation of the building. Went fairly smooth, they did have to come back out later and add another concrete anchor and some more fasteners on the roof to wall brackets to pass inspection.
Now that it is complete it is time to start moving a majority of the stuff from the house garage in to here. Definitely a bonus that the daughter loves being in the garage, just have to get her some garage clothes.
And now that all the stuff is moved out of the house garage, there are no more cars outside
Thanks for following along!
