I just listed my THNFD72 Green hard handle ratchet in the classified section. It has a 3/8 head instead of the usual 1/4 head!.

Thanks,
Will

Just lowered the price of my ratchet! I really need to move this thing! Here are some pics.

Hoping you guys can help me out a bit... I'm looking for a SO green hard handle 1/2" drive solid ratchet and none of the part numbers that I thought I had for it are matching up with any search. This did exist at some point, correct, or are all of the ones that I have seen retrofitted green handles?

TIA,

doug

I switched a SH80a with a soft grip handle to a green hard handle, but snap on does not sell any new style hard handle 1/2 drive ratchets.

And NissanTechWill how much for your THNFD72?

Damn. So the only way anyone has shown any 1/2" green hard handle ratchets here have been custom-made models? I have seen a few in orange on eBay and elsewhere, as well as black, so I'm guessing there were others made, just not in green.

So the next questions are, the handles appear to be rather difficult to swap out, are there any tips or even videos showing how it is done? And, which handle is needed to execute the swap?

Better yet, anyone have one they want to sell? :D

Buy a sh80a, boil some water, stick the soft grip ratchet handle in the boiling water for 3 minutes. Then the soft grip handle should pull off undamaged. then youll have to shorten the handle shank on the sh80a by an inch or two(cut it off). Then drill out the half inch handle slightly bigger than the handle shank, and press the handle on. i can make them but i have none of the ratchets and the handles are $20 each. the part numbers for the handles are floating around here somewhere. Maybe next time ill make a video

Don`t have much green Snap On tools yet but slowly buying up some here and there. I bought this service cart KRSC46GPJJ a few months ago and love it. get some of the other green tools later this week.

Just a little heads up got a shipping conformation last night from Snap On for a green carbon scraper set that I ordered back on 11/5. Will post some picks when they arrive on the 27th. And for those interested in getting a set for yourself Snap On shows them in stock now.

Part Number- CSA300AG

Your welcome.

I used Grabber Green just because i can touch it up or repaint it if i ever need too. and it beats the cost of powder. It's pretty close to the color of the tools tho, i compared a adjustable wrench and some drivers. I think i gave it 2-3 coats after i completely cleaned it and wiped it with tsp

Just have to toss this out there. I like how your sticker mentions snap on -nothing even comes close, then we all see a huge Mac truck. Ha ha gave me a good laugh.

Sent from Fred's iPad, now whether or not it was Fred, is up for debate.
