Gonna be honest with you I didn't even notice that...lol...and I'm usually pretty good at picking that stuff out. Ah well, they were bought to be used. I suppose if I wanted to triple my money I could slip some of those handles on a few old ratchets I have laying around.

eBay...Got a decent deal. The tray is a little used but intact. The screwdrivers themselves however are brand spankin' new. Never touched a screw!

Canuckian,

That guy has sold a few of those sets on ebay. Described as new unused originals. I was sick to my stomach when someone outbid me on the first auction. Close to $250 i thought. It wasn't till the second or third set he sold that i noticed no part numbers like the replacement handles on my ratchets. Still trying to find an unused set of the green originals. Last one i saw had a $300 Buy It Now on it. Sold in the first couple of hours.

Like I said earlier, not too concerned that they're not NOS. They won't look new for much longer anyways. Actually I'm kinda happy in a way that they're not NOS..... would have cost me a lot more if they were by the sounds of it.

Since I have both sets I figured I would show you the difference. As already stated the NOS has the part # on them. But also there are a few other difference. The metal on the NOS ones are much more dull finish, also on the revers side they have the Patent #. Also it is very slight but the Original handles are just a tiny bit less extreme green than the new ones, just a bit more muted. And finally the edges on the new handles are just a tiny bit softer than the NOS.

Hope all this helps.

I would be relieved and DEFINITELY more inclined to put them to use!! Can't imagine he'd be making a killing making these sets though with the price of hard handles. Thought about making me a set but $20+ a handle talked me out of it. Congrats on the score though!! Way cheaper than making a set i'm sure.

Nice!! i have a couple drawers like that....except in orange :lol_hitti no SO impacts yet though. :( Maybe this Xmas.

hmm...maybe someone should start an orange tool **** thread?!?

Sounds like you just volunteered:beer:

I'm still missing the MG725. I've seen a couple on ebay the past six months for $415 new and the only reason i haven't jumped all over that is my SO guy said he had one on the way for me. I assume that means they're producing them again real soon  Or at least i hope so.

Funny thing about my 14.4 cordless impact. My dealer said he thought hr had a green one turned out it was orange. Oh well I have a green 18 volt, orange 14.4, and 2 red small guys. Do they make orange mg325?

how do you guys keep those deadblow hammers so clean and unused looking? I have a green one too, 32oz, and its as dirty as a hammer should be. I've only had it about 5 months and don't even use it every single day lol

Easy...one for show...one for blow:wtf:

I keep doubles of my deadblows and prybars (tools that get destroyed). Beat the **** out of one set while the backups stay clean. Its the polisher in me.

I threw the boxes away for both sets. But I am going to guess it is the same part number as the regular sets but with "G" at the end.

Someone has been putting a couple 725's on ebay here and there for $415ish Buy it Now which isn't inflated. Keep an eye out.

My dealer said they were were releasing them again this year. Can anyone confirm?
