but most of the stuff on ebay you can go to snapon.com and get it...like these sets..punch in part number and order it..or the green files when they first hit, or the hard handled full size screwdrivers...no one tries snapon.com i guess

quick review after purchasing the screwdriver/pick set in a pouch, these are not the same screwdrivers as the originals...

let me show you:

longer shank, wider shank, wider tip, no knurling

the new model is longer and thicker around as well as laser painted name and part number and does not look stamped like the original.

I noticed this as well when I got mine. The picks have different part numbers from the 'originals' too.

that is a given considering they have been discontinued for like 10 years.

what is gonna be irritating is when you use them and they get scraped up that lettering is gonna come off like a hard handle matco or a cornwell screwdriver where all they do is paint it on without any pressing

Yea the files and t-handle are basically new and the standard is new. The only way I could tell the files had been used is because there are some shavings on one of the files edges. Other than that..perfect.

If they were not so damn hard to find in green for a reasonable price then I would probably end up trading them for something that I actually need/use, but as it stands my chinese set will continue to be used and these will be setting in my box until a rainy day.

I have my green mini pick/screwdriver set ordered. My old green picks are missing one, which was replaced with a red soft grip, and it drives me nuts every time I look at it. My old hard handle mini drivers are red, and just about everything else I have with a hard handle is green, so it will be nice to get the new green mini set.

If anyone has a spare green 3ASHA hook pick, I would love to buy or trade for it to make my old set "complete" again. It doesn't have to be like new, my other three sure aren't.

I ended up breaking the tip of my hard handle 90 pick last night. I called customer service about replacing it and they are not sending out any hard handle replacements but only the instinct style. What gives? Moss26, how did you get HH replacements for yours?

I called in with no problems and they found the 2 part numbers I needed.
However they are delayed, I got this email yesterday:
Jeff,

I have a delay with your warranty, the parts need to be set up for
ordering, and we will process the warranty within 3-5 business days.

I apologize for the delay

I am going to try and use the shank from the instinct in the hard handle. If this does not work then I am gonna have to find a hh 90 pick and then never use the set again.

I got a mini hh torx set form ebay today that was labeled as new and the picture also shown a new set. I opened them and they are clearly used.

I cleaned the top 2 and the bottom 2 are what they all looked like. I know the guy I got them from had 2 sets for sell. 1 new and 1 used. Do you think I should contact him and exchange them because I am sure I got the used set, since both sets ended within a hour of each other?

On a more cheerful note, I figured I should a take a pic of the green team after all the packages I got this week.

EDIT:
Here is the pic of the set I bid on

My thought is that he may have sent the wrong one too me but that would mean that the other buyer of the "used" set has now received a brand new set and is not gonna want to send it back to get my used set.

Lots of green in here. THLD72 and FHD80, SDDX screwdriver set with Instinct (blah) stubbies added, older Torx and pick sets. My new mini driver/pick set should be here this coming Thursday. More green to come soon!

Gally, I have a question about that hard handle. Is that the size snap on uses on their THD72? I noticed they're the perfect size to make into a bitchin column shifter handle.

Yes I believe it is, I had my guy order me replacement hard handles for my soft grip 1/4 ratchets and that's what he got me.

And that IS a great idea !
