Don't think they were the same ones.....yours came from eBay, correct? I remember seeing those. the ones I stupidly passed up on were through a friend of mine. He had a few new sets for some reason or another and IIRC none ever saw eBay.

Yup my bad.

I would surmise that it is to keep costs low. They aren't precisely machined, that's for sure. I also heard that the tips are rather weak compared to good brands, but hey, for 8$, I wouldn't be expecting Snappy-esque durability either.

yes. and its very difficult. it took me since february to get it. it was only part of a 2012 promo package they had which has like 8 knives in it, all of them overpriced cheap ones except this one, a red one like it, and a red speed bump. my snap on man finally managed to track one down from a regional guy.

So after seeing the green handle ratchets, and I was already a green fan, I asked my dealer today about the handles for the soft grip ratchets. Ordered them all for all 6 of my ratchets. He only had one in 3/8 in stock so i swapped it today!

I changed some new red handles to green. That is a pill of a job! No chance of reusing the old handle.

What size is the nutdriver? I thought the handles and shanks were the same color?

11/32"

They do come with the same color shaft. I bought the standard and metric sets and didnt like the look of the rubber "shank covers" so I just cut them off with a razor blade to expose the nice chrome underneath

To the snap on truck owners. Are the hard handles available still? Asked my SO rep, said he could not get them. I would love to change over my black hard handle a green one.
