Re: The Green Tools ****

Neighbor had the can in his garage asked if I wanted it during the winter when he was moving so it was free. Had the Mercury stickers from when I changed the sticker on my 15hp merc to a 9.9 sticker kit so I could take boat in lakes meant for smaller boats

Exactly....7 ratcheting screwdrivers? That's 6 too many.
Without sounding like an *** it looks like you are more focused on collecting green tools to display rather than having some green ones that you use

Actually.....he has 10 ratcheting screwdriver. ;)
There are 3 in the upper right hand corner of the drawer with all the adjustables!!!

I've got 3 snappy ones myself plus a couple other brands

You guys are being mean, this is the "green tool **** thread". If I could afford it, I would make a table with green tools embedded in clear acrylic, that would be cool.

Exactly. Anyone posting here asking why another would have "so many" of any given green whatever...

...must just be jealous! :pimpflash

I can't stand owning duplicates. Just feels like a waste of space and money. So no, it isn't jealousy....

But then I know there are collectors, and I'm not the one questioning him....

Jealous? Not at all.
Just curious as to why so so many duplicates. By the looks of them he doesn't use them at all so they are maybe being saved for future selling or whatnot. That is fine but If that's the case why not just put everything inside in a cardboard box and not waste a toolbox to store such things.
This is however the "green snap-on thread" so it is the perfect spot to post this stuff. However I just can't grasp the concept of why for owning multiples of things you don't use. That is all

You probably did and thanks it went to a good home. This has been the only green 4 piece scraper set that I have been able to find.

Yea, they are hard to find for sure. I was going thru my PayPal too, and I think I just bought a air chuck from you too. I've kinda expanded My green set too I'll shoot a pic when I get home

Does anyone know if the pliers handles can be swapped without destroying them?

No...they are dipped on there pretty sticky.
U may be able to stick a straw from a wd40 can under the grip to loosen like u would a bike grip. Worth a try. Good luck trying to get it to be like factory again tho

I may sacrifice a red pair, just to see. Can't risk it with a green pair though.

I forgot to post a few more acquisitions from last week. Has anyone seen a set of the snap ring pliers that didn't have a couple of odd colored handles? I saw some on ebay, but they were way more expensive. These came straight off the truck. I did not get pictures of my two new hammers or my two new prybars. I will have to post those up when I get a chance.

The tools that came in the other day, still need to snap pictures of my prybars. I also bout some non striking cap green prybars, I am kind of excited about those.

Looking back at this, I am seriously crazy. All this started with one hammer that I got off ebay, then the handles to my ratchets, and now in the last few weeks I have switched out all my red tools for green and have acquired enough new green tools to make the hulk happy. I think I need to pause, of course the Snap On man has more for me next week too. I need to pace myself.

I saw a few on ebay that seemed to have all the same color handles. I wonder if they really are the same? The darker green makes the lighter green seem very light. I wonder if snap on will warranty them for new handles? :lol_hitti

I guess I am not that bad, but I did spend about $2000 on snap on green in the last few weeks. It could even be more than that, I almost don't dare add up all the slips.

wish they still made the green with black writing soft handles. like the look way better than the black and with green writing.

Meh I get what your saying but after you use them it's nicer having the majority black because that green with just turn cruddy looking anyways

Dang Rob, you spent a lot of green since the last pics you posted!
Where did you get a green SDDD42?

its not a real one but it is one i refurbished (used a usa handle)
and i found the pouch for a reasonable price with 3 out of the 4 blades
i made 2 hard handle 5 in 1's as well ( replacement handles)
a reversible hard handle stubby (green stubby hard handle usa)
i bought long soft grip picks, and a set of nos hard handle green picks and made
long hard handle green picks,
i also made a set of longer stubbies (see screwdriver pic)

I've been busy lately LOL

in the works
I'm going to buy a long 1/2'' drive breaker bar and put a green hard handle on it soon.
and rebuild two LSF720's and put green hard handles on them.
and I'm going to try to make long torx, and long screwdrivers if i can find some clean donor handles. (if any one has any! lmk)
i also would like to fill a second minipakg index box i have (dreams)
