I saw that, looks great.

I am a blue guy at heart, the green to me is an accent color, so I think having too much would be a bad thing. I have been eyeing a matte blue color that snap on offers. It looks ****.

Re: The Green Tools ****

You gotta think about the long term picture. Me personally I would get sick of that loud color after a little while I would think. You also have to consider if you plan on selling it down the road. If you are....there isn't as big of a market for a lime green box vs say your classic red or black boxes.
I still however think they are badass looking and get jealous when I see someone post a giant green krl or epiq on here!

Snap-on offers matte colors? All their boxes I've ever seen are high gloss.

I'm probably in the minority, but I hate gloss painted or glossy anything for that matter. I'd personally love a matte car even. I looked into wrapping it with Hexis vinyl but that's awfully pricey, and I can't afford a new Bimmer with their "frozen" line of colors.

Yup, they offer them, but they are special order from what I understand. I think it is some ridiculous up charge as well. I have the opportunity next week to choose any color and drawer configuration for free. I am not 100% sure of what if anything I will be doing yet. They have a "rock and roll" truck that has super specials on boxes and my driver is coming by with it next Wednesday or Thursday. I am kind of nervous, but what I do depends on what they offer me for trade and the deal on the new box. I have been told, it is usually too good to pass up.

I had that fear myself...which is why I went with a Vinyl Wrap on mine...if I feel like going back to all black, I'm just 10 minutes away from it...and if I want to go with a Blue Front, it will take me longer to decide what shade and order the wrapping vinyl.

When I first got my box, (smoking deal, I didn't order it) I kinda regretted/didn't like the gloss black, I wanted an Extreme Green. Now that I wrapped it and see the potential that ANY color could easily match black, I think I would order any future boxes Gloss black and just wrap the drawers to whatever color my heart desires at that time.

Yes...Matte black for sure, I've seen a couple on the SO truck, and a couple on CL.

Where did you get your quote on the Hexis? I wrapped mine with Avery Supreme which is more expensive then the Hexis stuff and I still have less then 75.00 into mine...

I was in contact with the east coast rep a few years back and she would send me free samples and the little sample booklets, but she was promoted to the west coast and now the new east coast rep is not very good. I know metrorestyling.com carries Hexis HX20000 and now HX30000.

Nope I don't get tired of my green one

Man what I would do for a box like that:drool:. What is the model # of the lower chest? I still would like to find a Lista or Vidmar locally, but the sellers around here price them as if they're made of gold.

I've literally just registered for this forum because of this thread <3 Hopefully I can get some pics of my not so extensive (yet) collection of green Snap-On tools up soon. I've already contacted my Snap-On guy about ordering some green handles for my ratchets lol

I don't know that I'd go painting the screwdrivers however paint looks alright when I painted that can awhile back. I think for sure somewhere in the thread I posted a pic of the can.

Kunkernator, it doesn't matter, even snap on has a hard time matching the green from one batch of tools to another. Looks good, make sure to tell her that we approve.

I finally get to add some green! I have been away, then my driver was forgetting to bring things, forget the excuses here is some green goodness.

I had him install the green grip in a weird way, we reversed the handle too. I like it, but I think I will buy another one, just so I can have it both ways.

Do you have the part number on the 3pc trim kit?

Re: The Green Tools ****

I will have to look at my receipt. It was recently available from snap on.

Damn you Strouty:bowdown:...just sent my guy a text to find out if he's got it... :D

As far as "Extreme Green" Paints are concerned...I found Mardens had tons of the grabber green for .99 a can (Strouty and other Mainers here know what mardens is), I found the color a tad dark and flat...not glossy at all:headscrat

This is kind of funny...About 3 years ago before this set was available, I just bought the extra handles off of the truck and made my own. it takes like 20 minutes to switch the handles on the trim tools.

I have been toying with the idea of getting both hard and soft green handles. Does that make me seem crazy?

To the people who follow this thread...no. To outsiders...probably. :lol_hitti
At one time I had SO Green Hard, SO Green Instinct, and MAC Macsimizers in Green...sold off all 3 and now I'm left with my set of old school Black HH's in the basement, Milwaukee & Felo sets out in the Shop...Still got some Green Instincts in my work bag tho

Just did a toolbox tour update, figured it's worthy of the green port thread

Very worthy! Just sat on my porch while drinking a beer and watched your video. Didn't know they made green plati dip in a can for handles. Only ever seen red and black.
