I picked up my box on Saturday, and moved everythin over today at work. I think I've finally earned the Snap-on sticker on the back of my truck

Anyway, here's all the green I've bought so far. I've only broken one of my orange picks so far, so I'll be swapping those for greens as I warranty them.

The snap on refresh didn't turn out too bad.

Very nice collection! Really like that vise also. I'm looking to find an old one in need of a restore and fix it up just like that one.

I know it's not Snap On but my local independent tool dealer swung by today and had these on his van.

Green Knipex pliers brandned Monster.

I bought them on the spot, hopefully other sizes come soon.

Nice, I would be all over that. I guess I must be out of the loop, but I keep hearing about monster tools but there's next to nothing about them online. From what I've gathered they don't do any online sales and are only distributed through independent tool guys?

Figured I'd share my ratchet collection. I've been doing a lot of soft handle to hard handle swaps recently

What's the part no on those green handles? And do you have to do any modification for them to fit?

1/4" = THD72-12G
3/8" = FHD80-12G

No modification to the ratchet, but you will have to drill out the hole in the hard handle with a drill press (needs to be wider and deeper).

Also I do not recommend using hot/boiling water to take-off/put-on new handles (as I've seen recommended before). The water reacts with the hard handles and makes them go white if they are exposed for too long. To take off any handle, I put the ratchet in a vise, use a wrench to protect the handle and use a pry bar to lift the wrench and the handle off. Then you've got a mint spare handle laying around.

I'm assuming the letter D in the part number has something to do with it being a hard handle, no?

I've seen you post this before, I've had it saved and eventually want to own them all!

FYI to anyone interested, the 12" ratchets are THLLF72's with a handle swap, one is a 1/4" and the other has a 3/8" swap.

Nice job on the THLLF handle swaps. I've thought about doing one of those myself.

I only post about the hard handled ratchet availability often because I would hate for someone to think they have to get into swapping handles to be able to have one. It is nice that SO seems to understand that there are scores of us out there who will always love the hard handles.

I've noticed they have been bringing some more onto their site with pictures with some new colors since the 2017 SFC. I really want to buy one in every color, but I'm already this far into green so I'm somewhat committed.

Also, those 1/2 hard handle ratchets, any word on release date or anything? I saw those PN's floating around here like 6 months ago and have been eagerly waiting ever since.

Me too. I keep having my SO guy check availability but he can't order them yet. He called on them for me before SFC and they said after the show. Had him check again last week but still not available yet. ***** because they brought out the new teal handled 1/4" and 3/8" @ SFC and I'm starting to see those posted here and on EBay already.

Damn. Hopefully they release them before the end of the year. I've been needing a longer 1/2" ratchet for a while and can't wait forever.

That teal is a nice color. Might pick one up to leave in the truck or something.

I've always thought it would be cool to buy all the colors of a single ratchet and frame them or something. Not that I have the money to spend $1000+ on ratchet art, but if I ever won the lottery...

We think alike. I've considered doing that with the SDDP31 #1 Philips. Pretty sure I could find about 12 colors.

Yeah, I opened it up, it's a really nice umbrella and looks awesome, but not the kind of thing I'd use. I'll probably sell it or something

got a red one 4 or 5 yrs ago from my old snap on guy. If it's the same type it's a really well made umbrella. My wife has been using it at soccer and football games for a few yrs and my sons have used it "sword fighting" lol. I may have to harass my driver for an orange one.

But it includes a PH 1, 2(reg and long), 3, and 4. Then all the normal flatheads plus a 7/16" flathead (the big long one). Then the two stubbies, one PH 2 and a flathead.

My green 14.4v collection so far,

20171209_203709.jpg
I think you own them all lol. You just need the right angle drill now. Oh and the super long 3/8 ratchet they showed at the snap on expo a few months back
