Re: The Green Tools ****

I made a couple key rings from some extra 1/4" ratchet handles and some stainless eye bolts. I really like the 1/4" ratchet handle for these as it's not too bulky. The part # for the handles is THD72-12x (x=color). Lots of available colors to order. ab989077b8b0d19e32c480f25f2f8627.jpg

epoxy coating ... know there are different floor coverings and opinions on the same, but I can't endorse a (professionally applied) epoxy coating enough. You can get all sorts of different colors and textures.

My first bit of green, bought for my road box so I can easily see if I'm grabbing a flat head or a cross. Definitely won't be the last, love the colour :)

Thanks !1 Sorry, a little off topic, but is Snap-On manufacturing hard handle 1/2" drive ratchets like these?
They said they were online, and my dealer said they were but limited. I asked him to put me down for 1. That was 6+ months ago and still nothing

I don’t know why they at least keep the red, oragne and green as normal inventory...

We are talking 1/2" drive. I see the 1/4" and 3/8" drive online but not any 1/2" drive hard handle ratchets.

Re: The Green Tools ****

The only Dual 80 1/2" Drive Ratchet Snap-on has produced yet is the 25" long flex head. You can get them in as many as 12 colors and they've been out for awhile. The part number is SHLFD80A plus a letter(s) for the handle color.

There will hopefully be 3 other varieties available. The part numbers have been in the dealers computers for well over a year but can't be ordered. My dealer has even called for me on a couple occasions to inquire.

The part numbers are:
SHD80 (standard ratchet approx 12" long)
SHLD80 (long ratchet approx 17" long)
SHFD80 (standard length flex 17' long)b878a28a3e2aced12aba6aff17c48e2b.jpg

Aww I want those duckbill pliers! I recently got that save 3 piece set and have been on the lookout for the long nose pliers, but it's crazy how hard it is to find a decent deal on any Snap On tools, especially green ones.

I was going to post this up in the Garage Sale thread, but thought you guys would like it as well.
My new (to me) green cordless sawzall.
It would be a lot sexier if it had a twist chuck for blade retention, but that would probably double the price.#HS50G Quick Cutter

I really need to stop looking at this damn thread... I want that impact and the torque wrench.
Yeaaaa I just need to stop getting on the truck lol. My guy also knows my obvious 100% proven and tested theory that green works better and has better torque ratings and increases productivity.

Re: The Green Tools ****

Haha yes, I hear you. Fortunately, and unfortunately at the same time, that is no longer going to be a problem for me. I'm no longer working in a shop and my tool accounts are paid off. So unless I make a deliberate effort to seek out a truck on my own accord, I won't be on one anytime soon. That doesn't stop me from wanting to buy more tools though. It's like a disease, which oddly enough the color green seems appropriate for.

Do what a co-worker of mine did, keep your hands in your pockets on the truck. I think he worked off a "if I touch it, I will buy it" theory.
Gouge my eyes out too? Lol

I know it’s not really a green tool, but it’s green so I think it counts. Playing around making some drawer guards for my box. Material is almost identical to that of the bed-liner top. Also added a photo so you can see the side on the right done, vs stock on the left.

That looks really good. What is the material?
