Black batteries??

J/K, you are going to like the 14.4 tools!!

You can get the green boots that help protect the battery...

Re: The Green Tools ****

The batteries are all black now, my driver said it was to make it easier to split up tool kits and not have to worry about ending up with a red tool with a green battery.

I got tired of Milwaukee trying to pawn of their crappy ratchets on me. It hurt to invest in them, but they will be used and loved.

The set has to be about 15 years old although I got them about 5 years ago new in box. I have never seen another set of green ones in the metal case either.

Good stash! I got all excited when I saw the pry bar set, guess it'll have to be ebay.

I have not seen a single one out in the wild for the 15+ years I have Step foot on a tool truck. :/

Not really new, just update. It’s a subtle difference but added black drawer guards. Almost identical to the top.

I know the case sets came in a promo about 20 years ago (thinking 97-98ish) with a hard handle prybar set.

I had orange and green sets. Sold them both.

I have had the 1/2, 3/8, and 1/4 Techangle torque wrenches for almost 3.5 years. I do not use them every day, but more often than the average DIY'r. They all work exactly as they should, every time, and are a joy to use. I do take the batteries out when not in use.

I second removing the batteries, I have a 3/8 and 1/2 and have had no issues, been about two years. I would make sure you get the green ones, I imagine any other color would have fallen apart by now. The reason I bought them was to do specific head bolts that are torque to yield and need a 1/2 turn after torque, well, knock on wood, I haven't had to do any head gaskets yet.

I need to repost some pics and my old ones in this thread have become obsolete due to photobuckets greedy ways.

I will post up some new scans after my 1/2 green techangle arrives next week to go beside its green 3/8 sibling. I am just a DIYer, but the techangles are worth the coin. I used to use another brand, and it was shocking how far off the values were...

I know they arent SO, but they are green and much harder to find. Searched for years for them. Had 2 sets pop up in a week. 1 looks brand new and 1 has definitely seen some use. Either way they are now squirreled away in my tool box.

Found out last week that my house is on the local Snap-on guy’s way home...[emoji51] This morning he dropped off my new 8pc screwdriver set and my wish list (aka the Snap-on catalog). This will not be good for my wallet, haha!
