I realize there's a FACOM thread on here already, but I wanted to ask if anyone ever bought the FACOM set that was in the Griot's Garage catalog several years ago. I remember drooling over it and thinking how much more "cool" it might be than my more ordinary Craftsman tool set, but never had the money, or at least never felt like I had the money to buy one.

If anyone on here did, if you still have it, would you mind posting a pic? Also feel free to reminisce about it.

Thank you,
-William

I didn’t buy that set but did buy a set of their ratchets. They are way, way better than the craftsman junk I had before.
Surprisingly Craftsman choose to make in a bad way, a weird mashup of those ratchets with the MAC/proto inspiration for the V line. They should had just rebranded he Facom/usag with a new "look". I agree those usag/facom ratchets are way better.

Same here.....and they have been my favorite ratchets ever since.
They were mine too until someone posted about the sale at NAPA for the Carlyle 3/8 flex head. I liked it so much that I got the Carlyle extra long 1/4 - the Facom 1/4 is very short.

Now I am starting to understand why there are folks here with dozens of ratchets.

Just get some used Snap On Dual 80's now, not after buying 19 more ratchets! (Ask me how I know.)
