Just an update, I've used those swivels a hand full of times now (Well, a couple sizes at least) and so far so good. I've had the 2pc 3/8 + 1/2 universal swivels for a while, at $8 I figured they were worth trying. The 1/2 lasted me almost a year of 100% impact use, nearly every day, before it started to get a little rough, the 3/8 grew legs (while attached to a 10" 3/8 S-O extension) a couple months after I bought it. I bought a 2nd set of the 2pc set about a month ago, I've yet to go see if they will give me a new 1/2 swivel even though its not "broken"
Also, I picked up the 3/8" Earthquake impact on Sunday, i've used it quite a bit yesterday and today, and i'm pretty impressed, especially for $73. We'll see how it does in the long run.

Bought one to get the nut for the CRV auto-transmission off. Even tried
a 3/8" wrench with the weight of CRV, the nut won't move. Using the
universal impact joint, the nut was off just 2 bursts.

I pulled one out and i remembered i obliterated the markings [i was ashamed of whatever it said] so...no help there. They were a good deal though for me.

Yeah, I picked one up about 6 months ago. Been going strong since. I got the 1 ton for 99 dollars with the coupon. I've used it to lift an a complete LS1/4L60E combo into my truck, and I even lifted up up the rear of my old truck by the bumper. 09 Toy Tacoma, with heavy mud tires, steel offroad bumper, etc. For 99 dollars you can't beat it.

I've got one that's not exactly like that, and it's a pass. The back side of it is made of a thicker material than the front. I use it instead of a creeper unless I'm going to be moving around under a car. Good when you have to kneel down on concrete and works great out in the yard too.
Mine does not have the head rest on it, and I don't remember which but it has one of the HF corporate logs (Chicago too, Western Safety, etc).
yeah saw it last night they replaced the ones on display in my store...also the gantry crane they put up a new one with the new colors and the jackstands seem to be switching over also...so now everything lifting thats steel will be the hammertone color (and aluminum will be blue i guess)

i got two little welders from them, the tiny stick welder and the smaller flux core welder.. they both work great and have a year warranty so if they break or die, they replace em free.. i figure if they last a year, im well ahead of the game. and if / when a year is almost up, ill suddenly have a problem with them and return them for new ones... I think HF items are decent, esp for the homeowner not making a living off the tools. or, if you are a pro and need something for one time use, HF would be a good choice as the $$$ saved may make your profit margin on the job a bit sweeter. Just be carefull what you buy.. I bought the $5.99 10" tires on the white metal rims, they twisted up like a pancake into a crepe under the weight of a huge tree trunk i was trying to pull across the yard....lol

i wondered about there weldwrs because I've been looking for a small welder just to have...... no real need for one but old be nice to have one in awhile id think

Well, as stated earlier, the 1/2" universal I had held up for about a year before getting rough (but still works), but I didn't get much use out of the 3/8 universal. Today (after only a few weeks of use) it blew up on me, throwing a 12mm socket at my face (and hitting me square in the nose)
I'll have to say the 1/2" is a pass, but the 3/8" is a fail in my opinion.

I also check out anything I buy on you tube, most items have real world use reviews.
Im no welder but from what I have seen, my $99.00 HF Flux core gives the same weld as the $200.00 and up small 110v flux cores at Home Depot and Lowes. I think, with online reviews, youre gonna get more complaints than praise so i take them with a grain of salt. I think people are more likly to piss and moan about something thats bad, than they would praise something thats good. Plus, with the HF welder, its a toss away, if it lasts a year of constant use, youre ahead of the game. Like I said, I got the year warranty so if it dies, they replace it at the store, no questions asked.. But... I think that if someone is a pro welder or thinks they will use this welder everyday, all day, go buy a real mig, its much easier to use and alot cleaner, stronger weld.

Yeah once you quit flinching every time you touch the HF wire to the work before you're ready you're probably right.

A used 220v tombstone smaw (stick) welder is far more usuable than a flux core mig imo.

I have the 110v Flux welder. No problems at all. BTW, since I never saw anything about this since I asked the first time, I bit the bullet and bought. Pass big time. Spray painted a house, runs a grinder all day long!!

I would say Pass but you gotta know how to use it. I used this recently on my 05 scion xb front left lower ball joint to get access to the axle. Worked great. The idea is to let the tool do the work with a hammer. Apply pressure to the ball joint with this tool and tap the side of the control arm slightly and it should pop loose the ball joint. use some wd40. it helps.

Toekick saw SUPER FAIL. Literally 10 minutes of use and the arbor torqued round.
I've had one for about 2 years. It has worked fine with no leaks so far. Pretty heavy duty by harbor frights standards.

Wanted to give a huge pass to the Pittsburgh plastic socket rails. This spring I bought the Craftsman 299 pc socket set and have been looking for an efficient way to store them. I am too OCD for the HF Hansen knock-offs and I loved the Craftsman rails but they were too spendy.
I ended up buying 9 HF rails for around $35 and found out that I'm one 1/2" rail short so I will be buying a 10th set, plus maybe a few extras for my impacts, etc. It's a great deal. They are well made and sturdy. I will be bolting them to some sheet metal once I get the configuration sorted out.

Gotta be kinda tender with them...I found mine to be brittle and they shatter if you ever drop one. I ended up spending about $70 to do the same with metal Snap On rails.
I think the HF plastic rails **** balls. They maybe fine on the 1/4" and 3/8" stuff but when you load the 1/2" sockets on them, they are flex noodle waiting to break.
Only saving grace is that I am only out $3 or so.

LOL, are you guys carrying around the socket rails? They are great for fastening to sheet metal, but if you're carrying them around with 1/2" sockets on them then it's not much of a surprise that 5 lbs of sockets on a thin plastic strip is gonna cause them to snap and break.
