I've always wanted a 3 car garage so when we were looking for a new house this past winter that was my only requirement. My wife had her own of course. Here it is the day we moved in.

As a bonus, the previous owner left the Arians snowblower.

I took down the drywall that didn't have insulation behind it which was basically all the walls that didn't share with the house.
Then I added a sub panel and outlets.

Next was insulation and plastic for a vapor barrier. Kinda looks like one of Dexters kill rooms.

Here is the drywall done and ready for paint. The ceiling is textured and will be painted the same color as the walls. I'm thinking a light gray.

Edit: I changed my mind and am using ceiling paint.

Thanks Justbummin1!
FTWing riders, I picked up 4 of the welded gladiator wall cabinets when they were on sale for $99. I'll start with those and see what else I need. I haven't decided on the bench yet, but I'll need something sturdy that I can mount a vice to. I am thinking of a floating shelf under the cabinets. Something around 12-18" wide so it won'tcollect junk but a good place for battery chargers to sit.

Here is the ceiling paint I'm using. Hoping it covers the old discolored Sheetrock.

I used 2 gallons and got about 1/2 way done. It covers really well, I think I'll only need 1 coat.

I ended up using 4 gallons for around 725 sq. ft.

My wife helped me paint the garage last weekend. I had some Behr paint leftover from my last garage so I used that.

The bottom is getting a wainscoting, possibly corrugated galvanized metal.

I also buttoned up the outlets that I had added. I have added a 60 amp sub panel with room for a compressor and running each wall of outlets on its own circuit.

I had a pretty productive weekend. I was finally able to hang my Gladiator cabinets. It was a fiasco trying to get undamaged cabinets. Even these had minor damage but I put them up in an order that would hide the damage.

I used 1x4s to hang these to so I could put them right next to each other. They are all secured with 8 screws and washers.

Next was putting up a galvanized metal wainscoting. I partly did this for aesthetics but also durability. My last garage got pretty banged up on the bottom from kids bikes, jacks, etc.

I used some 1x3 furring strips to attach the metal to. I cut the pieces about 4 at a time using a cutoff type blade in my circular saw.

These pics were taken quickly but I'll get some better ones put up here soon.

Looking good! I like the color of gray you're painting the walls. Do you have the paint code or number for that paint? 'll eventually be painting my garage and I'm probably going with a gray color. Keep up the good work!

I really wish I did. I would like to have some for touch ups here and there. I was sloppy and painted over the color label. I know it was a Behr color, but that's about it. If I figure it out, I'll let you know.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. My next step is getting things hung up on the walls and putting my stuff into the cabinets.

Man, it's been a while! I've been really busy so I haven't updated this. I took a few pics the other day so I could update. I'll add details as I have time -thanks for looking!

When I finish my shop this winter it will be HD orange, and light grey and the 2 rows of bricks will be black. Gotta have a good spot for the baby...
