Great thread idea. I’ve got one to start.

Help me find a deal on a 15/16” ratcheting wrench with a reverse switch. Have a semi regular task that needs to be done lying on my back and this would speed it up but I haven’t been able to stomach stomach spending $35+ on one wrench.

@ludakris04 i appreciate the suggestion but checked and that one is non reversible. Usually I’m not a stickler about that but for this particular use the bolt is in a location where if I did get the wrench stuck, I’d have to cut it out while lying on my back looking up at it from the floor.

This is on an old home built machine and the bolt has just enough space to loosen or tighten to align a shaft but doesn’t have enough room to ever actually be removed- unless you cut through a bunch of other stuff that is welded on. Just don’t wanna do anything where it’d even be possible to **** this thing up. No room for a socket so currently break it loose with a wrench box end and then use a crowfoot socket on a ratchet but still have to take it off to adjust the angle every 60 degrees or so. Slow going.

I think you're going to just have to bite the bullet on that one.. sometimes the price is worth it...

Wait until post Christmas sales unless you need immediately. Better chance of a deal then than now.

Here's a reversible Titan 15/16" for $33 shipped. If it's like the couple Titan items I own, it should be Taiwan made like the similar Williams wrench you linked to.

Alternately, it sounds from your description like you might be able to use a ratcheting crowfoot wrench to do the job. Gearwrench model 89129 is an example of one, but other companies make similar styles. They can be found in the $13 to $20 range, but after a couple internet searches I wasn't able to find one in-stock. The websites that say, "ships directly from the manufacturer" haven't been very reliable for some time now so I ignored those too. Maybe you or someone else on GJ can find one in stock somewhere. With a crowfoot style wrench, it doesn't need to be reversible because it can't get stuck during use.

@Tools4Me thank you, that’s a good thought, but I ended up getting this tekton wrench from zoro- $23 after discount and ordered some other needed supplies to get over the free shipping threshold.

And that’s a good thought about a ratcheting crowfoot wrench. I hadn’t seen ones in that style before, had only seen the huge tubing appliance co type before. Will keep those in mind for situations like this in the future.
