I have been slowly building the JKU for 5 years now,

4" pro comp lift
Taraflex quick discos
Smitybuilt XRC armor front and rear
River Raider Rear bumper and tire cage
Smittybuilt XRC 8,000lb winch
Rugged Ridge stigner on a custom front stubby bumper
35'' Mastercraft Courser MTs on Craiger soft 8s
Bestop Trek Top NX
Synergy hood louver kit (yes its cut and functional)
and there a few odds and ends I'm sure I'm missing

and its gets used!

Awesome.

I like seeing Jeeps off-road rather than merely highway queens.

Mike.

P.S. Here is my 2011 JKU Rubicon in action as well. It was also listed in the back under "Jeeps in Action" section of the September JP Magazine.

I'll ask him! I haven't seen the car yet, but he said it needs a new clutch. I haven't worked on a VW in years! I had a 12v Corrado and put a 24v in it. Great cars!

Well with work and getting stuff done around the house the garage has been a slow moving proses. I did organize more and set up the lower bench to work on the smaller toys.

Thanks but I really like the less is more look. I'm actually thinking about re wiring the bike so I can move the battery and pull off the plastic side covers. That and going to a digital gauge conversion so I can get rid of the cables. My goal is to eventually hide everything.

Good Deal! I know they are not for everyone but they do work! I use them to help my long *** jeep around corners. Pin the rear corner to a tree and they don't budge!

Wow you have great taste, Yuengling, Jeeps, and SOHC4 Hondas. I had 3 Yj's at one time 89',91',93' unfortunately I had to sell them to buy my house but I am slowly making progress on my Honda. Is that a CB500? I am in the works on rebuilding the top half of mine.

Love the garage, love the rig (worked at Stylin' Concepts/Stylin' Trucks, then 4 Wheel Parts Cleveland for while, so gotta appreciate a good build) and love the cafe.. Got a RD400 build, you can see my thread somewhere on here.

My son just bought a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (LJ) about two months ago and has been building it ever since. He has waffled over keeping his Grand Cherokee (ZJ) and lifting it a couple more inches and long-arming it or buying an LJ which he has always loved. He finally got off the fence and made a decision about three months ago and started looking. He looked for about a month before he ran across this one. It was pretty clean to start with and didn't appear to be beat on. The last owner said he had only taken it off-road twice in the past four years that he had owned it and had receipts for a couple of repairs. Overall I felt pretty good about his purchase.

I think it is turning our awesome. About the only thing left on his list of mods right now is a re-gear and Eaton TrueTracs which are all sitting on the bench in the shop. As soon as he is out of school for the semester (mid-Dec) we will pull the axles and build them. He also wants to paint the axles while they are out and weld in some "C" gussets for the front.

Currently he has a 4" lift on it running 33" BFG KM2 on Rubicon wheels as well as a Warn M8000 winch. He has added an auxiliary transmission cooler and trans. temp. gauge along with flushing the coolant system and replacing belt/hoses. He is just getting ready to build a swing away tire carrier to get that 33" tire off of the tailgate. Mechanically it is sound and he anxiously awaiting his 4.88 gears and TrueTracs.

He is trying to get it done for our next trip to Moab which will be around March of this next year. This will be his first trip off-road with it and he is trying to get it ready.

Mike.

Thanks. It's the red headed step child of SOHC4 Hondas , it's a 79 CB650

First project for the new beast was doing something with those ugly old can lights. Two coats of nite shades did the trick!

Nice looking setup, seems to be coming along nicely. No JK here but still a Jeep guy.....I had a killer Scrambler project for about 4 years but eventually sold it to get my own garage to work on stuff in instead of taking up my parents' garage! Now I've got an incomplete 1 ton TJ that I'll start working on again once I finish setting up my garage/shop.

Love the scrambler. I would give up my JK in a heartbeat for a clean scrambler! The TJ looks sick too!

Thanks! I loved it too and really wish I could've finished it but just had WAY too much money wrapped up in it when I needed to get on my feet, buy a house, and grow up. I love Scramblers and even though I built every inch of it myself right down to the custom frame, it was still $$$$. I guess that's what I get for thinking a 23 year old needed a rig with a supercharged 6.0L, 4L80E, Stak 3 speed t-case, locked and geared HP60 and 14 bolt, 16" and 18" coilovers, 41" IROKs, custom everything, etc. The TJ will cost close to 1/3 what the Scrambler was going to:lol_hitti

If GJ does not feel home as it is, seeing all the Jeepers on here makes it even better! 04 LJ as well here. A few other Nor Cal jeepers just found the GJ site so I expect even more to appear soon :) Bummer on having to sell the scrambler

Love the Rock-Crawlers you all have!!

Reminds me of Off Road TV show I watched where they were testing Hemi V8 installed in Jeep and went through snowy Utah wilderness trails. Company was testing "kit" where they did powerplant upgrades for customers.

Maybe someday Jeep/Dodge will offer CNG version so you Utah rock crawlers can drive all you want at low $1.49/gge price that Utah has state-wide.

Keep the pics coming .... We Like !
