Who makes your t-handles and do they go down to 5/64"?

They are Husky. The smallest key in the set is 3/32". They are alright for electrical work, but not great for mechanical work. They tend to flex / bend too much when you really torque on them.

Just my two cents.

In 1986 Klein acquired Vaco Products Co. of Jonesville, Michigan...
http://www.kleintools.com/history

I used to go through Jonesville all the time when I worked at Kelsey Hayes.. I often wondered what happened to them. On my family's journey to my home town of South Bend, IN in 1860s, there are references to them going thru Jonesville .. not certain why or how.. but... interesting none the less..

I’ve been meaning to post up some of my Klein stuff. Here’s a few from my home grab bag and a small spattering from work.

Like that huh, yeah that one came un-together. :3gears:

I've seen a few of those, much more pieces including the rest of the bore, piston, etc. on new diesel engines.. 14L, 5.9, 6.7.. I'll have to take a picture of a lump of piston that can be barely recognized except one small part where the machine marks from the lathe are still visible on the pin bore...

Yeah the spectacular fails are always impressive. I just hate it when they’re mine!

Yeah, all of the above. It poked a hole in the side of the block, shattered number 3 piston and beat the valves and guides out of the head on that cylinder. That one was spendy!

About one out of ten at work result in some "extra" excitement (Not that I've seen that many of them over the years, heard about them mostly seen a few first hand).. resulting in dyno damage..

picked this up yesterday at the supply house. Wanted a backup for the 3" version that lives in my shirt pocket.

Micro screwdriver. A bit smaller in width than the DIN terminal driver which I also have.
It's the perfect size for a multitude of screws I deal with in locksmithing.

Mind posting the Klein catalog number on that? That slender handle, long shank and 1/8" or so tip width look handy. That's just what I was looking for when I found the pack with the brand new broken micro driver.

If you want the full size handle version it's 612-4. There are jobs its my most used screwdriver, perfect for speaker terminals for instance.

I prefer the big handle over the mini for most things. I may get a 608 anyway though.

I’m actually after the thin handle and longer type blade and 1/8” tip for a particular kind of compact terminal board that requires the tool and my hands be all in the same place and not block my view or light source so compactness and length is important.

I mostly use mine for removing C/E clips from locks and loosening/tightening the small screws on mortise cylinders. I have the large handle DIN screwdriver in my voice/data bag but don't really use it for locks.

for what it's worth, there's also a 608-3 in this set 85484-SEN. Its a handy set to have.

x2, I love those little guys. My favorite minis.

And on the other end of the spectrum... my newest acquisition, a 600-12 heavy duty square shank slotted driver, 1/2" tip, 17-7/16" oal. I think it's the biggest Klein makes.

They do have a set of 2 I think a P2 and a 1/4" slotted that have striking caps, I think they call them demo drivers or demolition drivers. But that guy doesn't.

I have seen plenty of Klein drivers with mangled plastic caps never crack or damage the handle grip.

Unfortunately no, Klein only offers 4 models with strike caps:
http://www.kleintools.com/content/demolition-drivers
Scratch awl 3.5" shank, 1/4 tip 4" shank slotted, 5/16 tip 7" shank slotted, #2 Philips 4" shank.
Also, the Klein demo drivers are all round-shank with no bolsters.

This bad boy is still awesome though. Not too expensive for what it is, at just under $20 on HD's website. The only gripe I have is the driver itself not marked with COO whatsoever, although packaging states "made in USA" in 2 locations. Ever since I realized my 32500 11-in-1 is US & Foreign components (and also does not say USA anywhere, the 32505 is the USA version), I have paid attention to where my Klein drivers come from. My mini set all 4 say MADE IN USA on the band at edge of grip. My 650-DD demo scratch awl is the same except it says Klein Tools in yellow paint on the black rubber portion of the grip, instead of the black writing inset in the grip like all my other Kleins have, same with the gone-too-soon Switchdrive. The pliers all say USA except for slip joints (China) and the adjustable pliers with dark finish that are made in Germany by NWS. Klein also has some stuff made in Australia by Mumme, which I find impressive. The Aussies were able to beat cheap USA made mining and safety bars to be Klein's pick.

i don't mean to call conspiracy theory but it looks like I am. I wish these just said MADE IN U.S.A. if they were indeed made here. No need to be ashamed and hide it. Regardless I still like the driver, I like Klein softgrip and I needed a screwdriver of this size, and this one is the low price leader.

The tip is ground slightly out of square, a forgettable factory flaw. However I don't want to deal with bare metal, despite this one's good looks, as all ground surfaces receiving a handsome, glossy black oxide coat. It is a trivial concern yet offends my OCD, although not a major screw up, more of a flaw. The shank is 3/8 square. It helps will not actually be driving screws with this as red alluded to, it's going in the "self defense" / go-to prybar/ "any other purpose" locker.

Here are my screwdrivers. L to R:
1) #32500 11-in-1 marked US PAT. 5,904,080 and 6,286,400 (no made in usa, made in U.S.A. of U.S.& Foreign components, #32505 identical except Made in U.S.A, #32500-SEN sold at HD at lower price point)
2) #600-12 "screwdriver" (new, unmarked except KLEIN TOOLS)
3) #32703 Switchdrive (marked MADE IN U.S.A., now discontinued, P1&P2 bits 6", bare handle #32698)
4) #650-DD demo scratch awl (marked made in U.S.A., Gold lettering on black grip)

2nd pic 4 pc set #85484 mini screwdrivers all marked MADE IN U.S.A.

3rd pic, currently family portrait. Notice I have 2 pair of the K12055 forged wire strippers, one is backup/parts as it has a MONSTER short gouge on the cut edge, as does the #1000 6-in-1 wiring tool w/ red grips. I didn't damage either one of course, but also why I don't lend out my good pair ever, had to learn that lesson the hard way.

The scissors are Heritage USA, which is apparently owned by Klein. I found 2 pair new in package at a used tool store for dirt cheap, not knowing they were Kleins. Gave one to my mom and kept one for me. We're both impressed with the quality. Mom also found me the #5164 eight-pocket tool pouch & belt at a flea. The blue handled pliers are 2000 series.
