I did.

It still didn't make sense.

You state "The current code letters indicate the year of manufacture, starting with "K". The number, at least on the forgings, indicate the sequence that the die it was made from was machined. The dots, or dashes indicate the impression on the die that it came from."

I believe Klein uses all letters for the year. I'm not sure if the dots and dashes mean a die reference or a month week reference. May I ask where you found this information?

I have noted the handle numbering ranges from 1-9, with usual single digits. Rarely I'll see a two number set on the handle, but only 10 or 11. These two numbers may be stacked or arranged typically

The absence of seeing those two number combinations doesn't lead me to think that they are for month of production.

I have figured out the letter date coding for the more modern Kleins:

H=96
I=97
J=98
K=99
L=00 (Always seen on Klien "Y2k" special edition)
M=01
N=02
O=03
P=04
Q=05
R=06
S=07 (Seen on 150th anniversary)
T=08
U=09
V=10
W=11
X=12
Y=13
Z=14
A=15
B=16
C=17 (Seen on 160th anniversary)
D=18
E=19
F=20
G=21

2000 'Y2K' with 'L'

2003 Michael Andretti with 'O'

2017 J2000 with 'C'

Klein tool 1/4" hex screw bits are junk for driving roofing screws in. Maybe I happened to get a bad batch. Not sure, but the 2 bits I used had a ridiculous amount of slop.

Has anybody tried to use the home depot 20% discount yet? I put it in but it gives me the circle with the line through it when i try to click apply. I am trying to use it on some of the Klaw pliers if that matters?

Haven’t posted on this thread in a while but I love following it. Picked up a new pair of Klein’s today for my truck door pocket tools to replace the pair of HD2000’s I gave my son. Every young man needs a pair of 9” Klein’s in his toolbox or pouch BC1FACBD-C39D-40DC-80FE-D732E2D1A30C.jpeg

I know the anniversary edition cutters(?) are coming out soon. I missed the lineman pliers and the secondary market is ridiculous! Does anyone know how and where is the best place to get the limited edition stuff when it comes out???

He ordered from our local electrical supply house. Someone on facebook posted a pic with part numbers, my friend placed the initial order, then a few weeks later they were posted on Klein's website under new tools.

Still haven’t found wire strippers I like better for AC work than the Klein Kurves. Wanted this set for the small 20-30 AWG stuff.

This was the first part of my HD order using the coupon code, the rest is supposed to arrive Wednesday.

As someone who has a decent set of Klein electrical tools from the 90’s, it’s disgusting to see what Klein is selling today, especially the screwdrivers.
I think that is a bit harsh. Can you please provide examples of what you are talking about?
